I feel like I'm having a seniors moment right now (odd since I'm in my 30's) But when did Thurman get stripped for the WBC? Is there a match lined up for the vacant title?

About a month ago. Garcia vs. Porter is signed for August 25th.

I heard Thurman’s comeback is now getting pushed back to November or December (after it was believed to be September). Word is that this last time wasn’t an injury but a dispute over pay.

Thurman wants two tune-ups and then he’ll fight the Garcia-Porter winner if he’s not retired. I almost expect him to retire after that or demand Crawford and Spence fight each other to earn a fight with him. With his 1 fight a year schedule and possible plan to avoid Spence it could be a long time until (if at all) he fights Spence or Crawford. He started making noises like he’s not overly into those matches.

I hope Crawford and Spence just say **** it and fight each other. Seems that’s the one fans want most. Let Thurman do his thing and if he’s ready afterwards then so he it.

I don't think hes got that fire inside him anymore. Dude seems like he's kind of out there and is gonna get paid and get out early. Not sure we see too much more of him honestly and a big loss against Spence would be his last fight.
