If he beats Easter then Mikey will have the WBC and IBF lightweight titles. A unification with Lomachenko would make a lot of sense at that point.

But will Bob Arum let that fight happen, though? Or will he ruin things like he usually does?

Bob has let Loma fight Rigo, Russell Jr, Linares and Sosa, who are all with other promoters. Why would he change it up now? It is the other side you need to worry about these days. They are paying Mikey and Spence extra so they don't jump ship.


Also Mikey knows Loma will not fight him in December anyway. Loma said he will not fight a hard fight coming off shoulder surgery. He needs a tuneup fight to feel things out.

Loma and Garcia is a huge fight we would all love to see it but will Arum and the networks let it happen? Doubt it.

Mickey beats both. Easter and Loma. Garcia has a huge confidence. That. Neither can overcome. Lots of talent in all three but mickey is just to fouch.

I would love to see these two square off. Great style match-up. Both excellent boxers, with Garcia having the more sound fundamentals and Loma having the flash, brash and athleticism to really produce an eye-popping performance.
Something tells me Loma will have to really rest on his fundamentals against Garcia, as we saw during the Linares fight, Vasilly can be hit, and put down.
He'll need every trick in the book to beat Garcia, as well as Garcia will need to be at his best to have a chance against Loma.
I call this early F.O.T.Y candidate if they can squeeze it in before 2019, and as a side note, major surgery can really mess with some fighters confidence.

Lomenchenko isn't going to fight on Showtime nor will he let Garcia take the majority of the purse. Fight not happening.

Who does Lomachenko fight though? Arum will do what he can to keep the belt on Beltran until Lomachenko can get it, but things dry up quick if Garcia is ducked, and Lomachenko wants no smoke at 140lbs.

Lomachenko vs Garcia is the only fight you'll see Teddy Atlas, Dan Rafael, or Stephen A Smith pushing, and the Lomachenko lovefest will turn in a major once it becomes clear that Lomachenko is looking to can crush until Garcia goes to 140lbs
