TR is fine with that. As long as Ramirez continues to sell out and win, they'll put him in with any stiff they can find. Especially since there is no public pressure either.Comment

I think most promoters would go in that direction if they feel like they have a potential star in the making. But I also feel like Top Rank doesn't have that much confidence in Ramirez either. There's a very good chance he would lose to Prograis or Josh Taylor/Postol winner. Which could hurt his drawing power.

They are both in. It's only Arum who as usual refuses to play ball.Comment

But, he's also not as good as Taylor or Prograis, who would likely be the two favorites to win the whole tournament. I think TR sees that as well.Comment

Honestly, now that Lomachenko is recovering from surgery, I wish Mikey Garcia had got in the tournament @ 140 too!Comment

If things end up being Baranchyk-Yigit, Rellikh-Troyonovski, Hooker-Martin, and Prograis-Taylor (hurts to even think that a fight that could be the final would happen in the first round), I could definitely see interest in the tournament from US TV (if the insistence is to stage 4 separate shows, and if the price is right, I could see the shows streaming on Showtime's YouTube page for the international fights and set for ShoBox for the US fights; if outcomes go certain ways, could even see a Showtime Championship Boxing telecast for the finals).Comment

I could not be happier for Mo! Saturday was a life-changing win for him.
As for the combatants are 40, I would love to see:
Prograis
Taylor
Hooker
Orazco (he would be my dark horse of the tourney)
Ulysse Jr
Molina Jr
Baranchyk
RamirezComment
