Tyson Fury - The Jig is Up

The former champion, with one quality world class win on his resume, likes to say "The Mack is Back"....well big man, the jig is up!

He came in at his heaviest ever, he is not in fighting shape, he did not throw punches, he clowned, the crowd booed, people left and the ring was littered with trash, both figuratively and literally, all the while, he was in against a cruiserweight journeyman.

He can not con the people anymore, his drawing power will be severely diminished and unless his next opponent and performance is worthwhile, Tyson Fury goes the way of Buster Douglas and Oliver McCall - one hit wonder.

I said it before. He peaked with the Klit fight. His whole career outside that is a con and he'll be a footnote in boxing history.

His best win apart from Klit is Derek effin Chisora. Let that sink in fully before anyone calls him a great fighter.

The comeback was a farce. A light heavyweight who didnt come to fight or even try to fight and quit after 4 rounds.

Fury has no chance to break into the top 5 anymore. He is not even close to being able to challenge the top 2 guys.

Actually foreman was knocking out his cab driver of the month club.

Foreman would have knocked out sefari. Not kiss him on the lips, dance around in the ring for 4 rounds until sefari quits after taking no damage.

Yeah but apart from last night, his last win was Wlad.

You can't just say "apart from Wlad", everyone has to step up level at some point, which Fury did and that was his last fight before was out for nearly 3 years.

So all you're saying is that was when he gradually moved up, he kept winning..

I'm a Fury fan, and have followed him for years, even I knew that all his talk before this fight was bravado, confidence, you speak it and do it type thing.

This was an exhibition, he was 20 stone nearly and has been on the drink and drugs for over 2 years. What were you expecting? give the guy credit for even getting in the ring ffs, that is an achievement in itself after what he looked like 6 months ago. No one that follows boxing was expecting anything other than a WWE style fight, just Fury getting in a ring and moving and throwing some jabs... that's it.

I don't believe he could come back and fight a top fighter, he needs rounds and more training. Give him a chance, and another 2/3 fights to get back....,... this is a guy who has been down and out of shape worse than any boxer in history.

I meant he physically looked like ****. Each match he was 5lbs lighter. He always was a killer, but he got into fighting shape by fighting. And also, remember that his comeback was considered a joke for the first year or so.

This match was a joke. We all knew that going in though. I felt like the first two rounds were Fury just showbouting and trying to get rounds, but when Sefari quit after the fourth Fury seemed angry like he was wanting to crank it up to third gear. Regardless, it was a glorified sparring match, and we all knew it. We can't get angry about it after the fact because we were right. Fury is ultimately at the discretion of Frank Warren, and will fight whoever is fed to him. I have no doubt that Fury DOES want to fight Bellew next, but it's up to management if he gets to fight a bum or not.

He's been a pro 10 years! All he's done is fight b and c grade fighters till he lucked out with a shot at an ageing Klitschko. Then he had a nervous breakdown, ducked a rematch and dropped all his belts while he got fat, coked and drunk.

His boxing resume is total garbage.

That aint true and whatever he suffered was all self-inflicted. He chose to get fat, coked up and drunk, nobody should make excuses for him.
