Mares has been downhill since the Gonzalez ko. I know he mixed in a couple of decent wins after losing to Santa Cruz but it was still a pointless rematch and a complete waste of time. Santa cruz lost to Frampton, begged for an immediate rematch but then refused to return the favor. Now aside from those 2 names, his resume is 1 of the more pathetic you'll find for a top fighter.
