A very good action fight for the fans and the right guy one but the judge Danesco who scored it 115-113 had it way too close 117-111 seem much more appropriate...

said all along its a pointless fight. shock horror it was basically the same outcome as the first, santa cruz a clear winner. not a massive fan of rematches in the first place, let alone if there was a clear winner

did he not spend yrs ducking rigo and fighting c level guys? He could've fought Russell Jr by now, or at least faced Frampton again. Funny how he insisted on an immediate rematch when Frampton beat him but conveniently decided to go back on his word for a 3rd fight once he won. Anyone who knows boxing knows the rematch with mares was pointless because the first fight wasn't all that great and it wasn't competitive. As I said, it was a money grab because they knew the Mexican public would buy into it and they went out there and basically sparred for 12 rounds.

It would be amazing to see it. hopefully it ends up happening, but I wont get my hopes up unless its actually announced officially

One hell of a fight! Santa Cruz and Mares had an all-out epic WAR. Wouldn't mind to see a third fight between the two, but I think Santa Cruz will indeed unify instead. Also.....the respect shown by both men was awesome!

Nahh I Leo needs to move on. I would say fight Russell Jr. but he's done for the year. Maybe next year?? Who knows?
