That's irrelevant though man...origin of the phrase doesn't matter...truth is in our affirmative action, politically correct era, a lot of (USA) black fighters are hyped up beyond their abilities. If you come from a country where there is money in boxing (USA/UK/Mexico) you can expect guys from those countries to be generally over-hyped relative to a guy not from those countries. That's just where all the money is.
Not to say there aren't a lot of talented USA black fighters today - Spence, Crawford are probably both top 10 p4p. But a lot of other guys have been/are over-hyped - Ward (majorly so), Mayweather (somewhat so, he was still great imo, just not best ever). If Isaac Chilemba and Lara were from the USA they would probably be undefeated.
