            Do what you gotta do

The media strategy went left, but that's prizefighting (Eddie Hearn has spent so long, harping about all the money only being in the UK, that he must've been flabbergasted when he saw someone else with a legit path to doubling what he was willing to say the fight was worth publicly). Still, as long as the deal gets made, everything's good and everyone saves face.

Joshua gets the extra fight that everyone seems to think he needs (Povetkin is still a tough fight), 60/40 Joshua for the Wilder fight at Principality Stadium in February (if Hearn want to simply put up a cheque, $15m to Wilder should just about do it), and 50/50 for Wilder-Joshua 2 at T-Mobile Arena in August to close out the summer (forget about the guaranteed $50m, Eddie, Lou, and Haymon/Finkell will sit down, Sky Box Office will have the UK rights, SHOPPV will have the US rights, MGM Resorts will host the event, and the crew of them will max out every other revenue stream; Fathom Events hosting closed circuit in theaters, center-ring going to the highest bidder, etc).

            Just close the deal please

... or the money went up markedly beyond the original $12.5m, lol. You add that talks also seem to be on, in locking down the terms for a second fight in Las Vegas as well (Wilder's not getting 60/40, but he likely didn't expect to either), and there's no reason for Wilder to really say anything at this point, tbh.

Once the Joshua deal gets done and signed (in all likelihood before the end of the month), Team Wilder can figure out there next step (fight date is in February 2019 counting back a 10-week camp gets you to just after Thanksgiving 2018, with the rest from a fight basically having the drop-dead point for an interim fight being Halloween.

10-week camp in front of that, and he'd have to decide on if he even wants to have an interim fight by Independence Day).

It's good for business but lousy for the hard working fan seeking genuine excitement.

Pulev was entitled to 75% against Whyte. AJ would be entitled to 70% against Povetkin and it makes a lot more money for Hearn in the UK than for Ryabinski in Russia.

It would take a huge bid from Ryabinski to beat Hearn in those circumstances, more than he could recoup from the fight.
Ryabinski put up double what K2 or Sauerland thought Klitschko-Povetkin was worth, just for the right to host his Russian heavyweight in Russia. You're fooling yourself if you think that he made that money back on the fight.

It's a chance to host boxing's biggest star in Europe and arguably the world (Canelo says hey), in Moscow, fighting possibly the best Russian fighter to ever put on gloves, and you think money is supposed to matter? Lol
