  • Comments Thread For: Arum: We're Not Really Charging for Crawford-Horn on ESPN+ App

LAS VEGAS Bob Arum has taken plenty of criticism from dissatisfied fight fans that don't want to pay subscription fees to watch boxing on the new ESPN+ app. Arum reminded them Thursday, however, that if they want to watch the Terence Crawford-Jeff Horn welterweight title fight Saturday night, there's a way to do it for free (and legally).

I'll definitely be taking advantage of that 7-day trial then...

This is pretty sad. This should be on regular none bullshyt TV, not some g@y app. The boxing fan community is older so there aren't as many cord cutters. Makes no sense to me.

I don't mess with trial anything because too often I end up spending hours trying to sort out why they ended up billing me and then trying to get refunded. No thank you.
If I want it, I'll buy it. But, I don't want to subscribe to your in-house fights.

Arum is a weasel, but he's right about this. You do get a TON of content for only $4.99 a month. They it, if you dont like it, cancel it.

I just don't get the feeling that this is good for Crawford! I should be watching Crawford vs. Horn just like I watched Linares vs. Lomachenko! That being said, I'm not a "millennial" so maybe it will be a success? If there wasn't a good card on Showtime, I would probably order the app. Since I have an option, I will watch boxing the old fashioned way!

You hit the nail on the head, which is why the Eddie Hearn app will fail.

I usually stream fights I DON'T want to pay for.

Boxing in the U.S. is as niche as it gets, you can't honestly expect to be successful by making it more niche.

LOL! If you look closely you can see Arum's nose grow! If you are a true boxing fan you will be lucky to get one fight a month. Find a stream of Box Nation!
