I actually heard Espinoza on Michael Woods Talk Box the other day & he was saying boxing gots younger fans than most other sports.
I was surprised by that remark myself, but I'm assuming he's going off of some sorta stats I've not seen cuz it has been awhile since I delved too deep into the "old boxing fan" bullet point I used to always make myself.Comment

People will always watch boxing. People who watch fights on esPN are paying, they pay cable or satelliteComment

While I agree with you, you can watch it on a smartphone, tablet or smart tv. And many households have smart tv’s, even “old timers”. They can download the app there. It’s also on Roku, Fire TV, Chromecast and Apple TV.I just dont get this, I'm the boxing guy amongst my friends and family and they come to me every week saying "any boxing on this weekend"?, and i said yeah crawfords fighting and most of them are interested but then i gotta say its on some espn app. nobody wants to watch boxing on a computer on a saturday night, especially the oldtimers
At this point i’m surprised if someone doesn’t have at least an entry level smart tv.Comment

I already subscribe to ESPN and I am not cheap. It feels like they are just trying to *** me out another $5 bucks. I subscribe to Box Nation so I will see it there.I just dont get this, I'm the boxing guy amongst my friends and family and they come to me every week saying "any boxing on this weekend"?, and i said yeah crawfords fighting and most of them are interested but then i gotta say its on some espn app. nobody wants to watch boxing on a computer on a saturday night, especially the oldtimersComment

Yeah there's a million different ways they could quantify that to sound good in the age of "fake stats". I don't know what age range he would be talking about either. If it comes to the Canelo, Broner, Wilder, Pacquiao types who draw good ratings on regular TV I could see what he said being true. The Mexican fanbase is strong and full of all ages so it wouldn't be far fetched that boxing has a large contingency of younger fans.I actually heard Espinoza on Michael Woods Talk Box the other day & he was saying boxing gots younger fans than most other sports.

Either way like another poster touched upon its inconvenient to have this on an app. Does nothing for Crawford's exposure. Luckily I know where to find streamsComment

Nobody is going to go to the trouble of downloading an app, that they have to pay a monthly fee for, just to watch boxing.
This will fail just like Eddie Hearn's DAZN thing will fail.Comment

Did you even read the article? You get a 7 day free trial so you can download it for one fight and cancel after if you want. Also it’s a monthly fee so if there’s a fight you really want to see you could pay 4.99 for that month, watch the fight, then cancel until the next fight comes around. Not to mention they have UFC fights, MLB, NHL, college sports, so on and so forth. Speak for yourself don’t speak for real sports fansComment
