I'm in the minority, but I have no problem waiting until 2020 for Wilder-Joshua. They can make the fight a lot bigger by continuing to build their names by fighting other contenders. Joshua may be a star in the UK, but he's a nobody in America, where the big PPV money resides. Wilder has a lot of growing to do as well.

Povetkin is a great fight for Joshua. I'd like to see Wilder fight Breazeale and Whyte in the interim.

Late 2019/early 2020 is when I want to see Wilder-Joshua sign a 2-fight agreement. One at Wembley and the other at Bryant–Denny Stadium.

This Wilder-Joshua thing has to end before the end of 2019. By 2020 the division will be flooding with good contenders

Why bother with that when you can have the series now (to maximize the drama, Wilder wins by KO at Wembley, Joshua wins by KO at T-Mobile Arena, third fight is a draw), have them then have some time apart (Fury is Joshua's big fight, but I doubt he ever really gets back on form. Wilder stomps everyone else out in the US, as I don't see any other heavyweight getting to their level), before then coming back with two more Wilder-Joshua fights.

Wilder-Joshua in September 2018, Wilder-Joshua 2 in February 2019. Wilder-Joshua 2 winner makes the Povetkin mandatory before the Summer (loser knocks off a good fighter while they wait), and then we get the third fight in October/November 2019.

Regardless of where the unified championship is, you open 2020 with Joshua-Fury in the UK and Wilder-Ortiz/Pulev/Povetkin/Miller in the US.

Both get through that with wins, and you've lined things up for Wilder-Joshua 4 for August 2020

Who has grandpa Ortiz fought prior to Wilder lol! He is a bum but was still able to trouble Wilder just like every other Wilder''s opponent. You should be scared of what will happen if AJ gets him hurt as Wilder is the easiest heavyweight to get hurt.
