    3 Daniel Jacobs United States
    4 Jermall Charlo United States
    5 Demetrius Andrade United States

These are the IBF rankings for April and there was no number 2. Danny Jacobs will have to fight Charlo for the number 2 sport before the winner faces the New Champion. Everyone knows Hearn (Jacobs promoter) has such a great relationship with IBF so please imagine every conspiracy theory possible.

Just did. If Dev fights Andrade for it who has exactly one fight at MW against a guy not even in the top 50. Even a win against Murray who has no quality wins for a few years now will be questioned.

Not surprising... IBF does this type thing more than the other organizations. But GGG is still recognized as the man, so all he needs to do is fight Canelo, make some noise with that ~ either W or L ~, then get back on the horse and ride it, come what may.

And you guys went and made the fight anyway refused to fight your mandatory or find a 160lber with a pulse that the IBF would of sanctioned. Loeffler wanted to cancel the May date but GGG forced him to make a BS fight anyway and it backfired. Shyt crowd even with giving away thousands of free tickets had a 1/3 empty tiny Stubhub and it cost you the IBF belt.

The media have been writing that this would happen the moment IBF told you NO to Vanes. You made the fight anyway and refused to even negotiate with your Mandatory after the fight. Strip that clown and now the WBC on your azzz to strip you next if you don't fight Charlo. Serves team Triplebullshyt for their lies and hypocrite actions. Aka Mr I'm not a businessman or MR 154 or 168. Hard to keep up with these lies and flip flops now they shocked that after holding belts hostage and ducking mandatories that you are stripped. LMAO
I think Tommy L is just doing his job here as GGG's promoter. He gots to come out & kinda be like "wtf IBF wtf man!!!!" lol. You know like if someone is repoing your car & you know you didn't make your last 2 payments & this is what happens when you miss your payment but you still shake your fist at the tow truck guy and call his mother a whore.

Tommy can't just be like well yea we shoulda pushed back the May date & fought Derevyanchenko. Or we shoulda setup a date with him post May. Tommy isn't a dumb mfer. He knows they didn't get dealt with dirty here. The IBF seemed super straight forward & gave more notice about how they were going to deal with a situation then I think I've ever seen them give.

So w/e to this story. Tommy knows he got dealt with fairly, but he's got a role to pay as GGG's promoter on behalf of GGG, GGG's family, GGG's fans & its not bad for the rest of us boxing fans either to keep the discussion moving forward.

Agree. Only the fanboys will care about this news & this sorta news once the fight is on & more importantly when the fight is over & GGG or Canelo get their hand raised.

You can spin it any way you want but just cause it's not to your liking doesn't mean a belt is less valuable when your favorite fighter doesn't have it.. And I don't even care about any of them belts but I'm just keeping it real.

Vs GGG it would at least have netted him a PPV & a few Million. Now it's all risk, basically a second eliminator & still won't see that payday on the near horizon.

He could have built upon his standing & increased his chances for the big fight by taking on a tougher challenge himself. He chose to fight the guy with 22 L's & nothing since, just another guy with no activity level unless ordered to do so with a pending deadline.

I'm all for having the next level fighters square off, but this won't change anything when the top contenders still looking for either Canelo or Golovkin. It's been only Golovkin that's even tried to unify titles at this division for years now. None of the other champs that have been mixed in have even attempted other than Lemieux. None care about that I guess. More paper champs, just what boxing needs.

Now Golovkin can take some blame here too, not by passing on the May 5th match up (one month to fight a mandatory isn't reasonable), rather he could have stayed active & fought Dev over the winter. Too much risk though with the Canelo match looming, I understand that. Bet they'd have chosen differently had they only known how this year was going to unfold.
Team GGG can't afford to pay fighters a few million. He's made his biggest paydays thanks to Oscar and Hearn... Dev would have ended getting less than 1 million while GGG made around 2 million on regular HBO. Team GGG had no problem fighting mandatories before and team GGG had enough time to make a fight with Dev. They knew for awhile about Canelos failed test, more than a month actually where they could have started negotiating a backup fight knowing that the IBF granted them permission to fight Canelo. They were quick to sign when it was Wade and Brook on short notice. Team GGG knew they got an exeption to fight Canelo, when that fight fell through they had enough time to fight Dev, negotiate a fight with him as soon as they heard Canelo failed the test as a backup and move off the Cinco de Mayo date to fight in June, giving him the ability to take on his mandatory and still fight Canelo in Sept.
