Golovkin not only passed Derevyanchenko over for an opponent who is not a draw, and was a dreadful mismatch..... he expected Derevyanchenko to wait another 12-18 months while he took care of Canelo and Saunders

remember, Golovkin (still) has not actually done anything to improve his profile..... Canelo damaged his..... which is not the same thing

and Canelo did not get caught cheating, he tested positive for Clenbuterol

the opinions of 4 independent experts (including the doctor representing VADA who administered the test)..... ALL indicated that the positive result was an act of accidental contamination..... and those opinions/findings were validated by a voluntary hair-follicle test

The Canelo fanboys are already building their case that if Jacobs doesn't take 20% he is pricing himself out. Fanboys of their fighters (or if they hate the other opponent) are always going to find a way to claim someone is avoiding a fight. They tried that crap with Golovkin when he refused to take a flat fee vs. Canelo. Of course he was right and he made himself a lot more money.

Let's just see how it all plays out. In the end I am still leaning towards Golovkin-Canelo II in September. Golovkin's percentage will be at least 40% which is more than he would have got for the rematch in May. We are still more than 3 months away so still time.

He wasn't in training camp yet.he was 2 weeks away from start and still hadn't decided if they were going to Colorado for high altitude training or back to San Diego

And detection of clen in light colored hair isn't a problem just the levels they get when they find it are different from someone with dark hair

well in the current landscape of boxing where established stars don't need belts, canelo brings more to the table. he's the bigger draw and therefore deserves the bigger cut.
