The IBF again acting like the leading organisation in the belt fiasco. More power to them, no shadiness like we have seen with others.

They gave him options that he had to adhere to, this were the options that would have helped him keep his belt, he didn't adhere to those stipulations and they rightly stripped him, he simply didn't want to fight Dervy, if Dervy was another Wade or Vanes then am sure that mandatory would have been fulfilled on the 5th of May.

Well said. This was an example of the rules being fairly applied without special exceptions based on a fighters financial power or influence. Maybe a collectors item, either way good call IBF.

I can't see the IBF's side because they were willing to exempt a Canelo fight. There should be no difference. It's a double std.

GGG mich bigger than the IBF title, they stripped a great champion. This all comes from Canelo testing positive, otherwise GGG could have fought May 5 against Canelo and then his mandatories. Now there is absolutely no reason to fight this completely unknown fighter with only 12 fights and fought an 8 round fight in his last fight, what a shame the IBF was able to have this effect on GGG career. First they make him fight Wade then this guy with only 12 fights, what’s going on with these unqualified IBF mandatories?

GGG great champ...IBF right in ruling.......

Being unified champ has it's ups and downs. I'm all for GGG making the biggest paydays possible because he's earned it. With that said it doesn't give him the right to make another fighter wait almost a year to realize their dreams. Youth is an asset in the sport of boxing. GGG is on his way out and it won't hurt him to let the belt go and allow up and comers to fight for glory. Beside he can always recapture the belt later if he wants to pursue that endeavor. IBF stripping GGG is in the best interest of middle weight division long term.

in order to land that cherry-pick..... a) Golovkin just got stripped for ducking his mando..... 2) Golovkin killed the Canelo fight by making ridiculous demands

it is obvious that Golovkin still wants the Canelo payday..... and it is obvious that he will accept Canelo's terms when he is ready..... and it is obvious that the reason why he is not ready now, is because of Hopkins record

                      all that really is obvious

not sure how/why you could support those lying manipulative lame cvnts getting what they want
I don't see Murata as a "cherry-pick." He reminds me of a MW Wlad Klitschko! I don't hate GGG! I don't like his team, and the **** they say, but I still like the fighter! Murata in Tokoyo, or Saunders in London, are both great substitutes for a Canelo fight!
