He did not offer him an agreement. It would have been ridiculously low. And yes, considering the timing it would have been way too high of a risk for little return.

Now if he refuses to fight him next because he has a good opponent with a much bigger pay day I call that smart. But I do not expect a guy who says "I don't care what NOBODY says" to understand a smart move.

You and the rest of you short bus riders should at least wait and see who he is going to face. If he fights another Vanes with months of time to prepare then rip him a new one, rightfully so.

I already said it was a mistake IMO to not take 40% if that offer was on the table from GBP.

I would like that fight too but I know my boxing, most casuals, boxing experts don't.

What a 12-0 fighter do for his legacy and bank account?

      Yeah, that's right.

GGG vs Vanes is the second best rating of the year.

They weren't solding out the arena and doing those numbers fighting friday nights Derev.

I guess they cashing out wich is understandable for a 36 years old fighter.

He coulda shoulda fought better oppo, but it's kinda too late.

      Dude has 3 fights left.

Hopefully Charlo doesn't try to go the IBF route if Canelo-Jacobs is signed. That would be disappointing but most likely. Devreychenko-Andrade is a good fight I'd rather see that.

Remember when the excuse used to avoid a super middleweight fight against Ward was that he wanted to be undisputed at MW?

Almost as funny as saying he'd fight anyone from 154-168.

I'm a GGG fan, I don't give a sht about the fake defenses record, wish he would fight next De Gale, Ucaz at 168 then Kovalev or Adonis at 175 and retire the fck out.

The only fights I'm interested at 160 is BJS and Nelo who are the only proven fighters at 160, Derev, Mall, Drade just fought bums TBH, not even a Lemieux.

Jacobs legit at 160 too but he got beat already, close fight, but just like Hurd vs Lara not interested in a rematch since I agree with the verdict.

So you're admitting he avoided Sergiy May 5th for an easier fight.

              That's a duck.

His whole career has been about all the belts. He got a pass last year when he pulled out of the BJS fight for the last belt in order to fight Canelo for a payday.

I'm a big gennady fan and i always defend him but i can't here. This is bad so bad this may stop him from reaching the hagler and the monzons levels. He would have starched devereyanchenko as well. What a shame.

                  Ggg: I respect boxing

Does complete 180 and gives up belt to avoid devy. Same thing Canelo did with ggg so he didn’t have to negotiate purse. Ggg fans killed Canelo calling him a coward for dropping belt. Now that the shoes on the other foot. Ggg fans say belts don’t matter. Ggg had chance to unify division with Saunders and passed to fight Canelo for money and said screw the belts

Tom has done a very good job of fooling a lot of people. Some of us saw the hustle years ago. It was never about the belts. It was never about 154-168. It was always about taking the easiest fights possible until they got a good payday fight. That's why they fought Monroe Jr, Wade, Brook, and Vanes.

                      Well,

                      1. Sometimes your goals change in your life. Maybe they want to beat big names or cash out I dunno...

                      2. They somehow failed to unify because the BJS fight seems too complicated to do. So it doesn't look like a possible goal at this point.
