    Wait and see.
But we are not there yet to completely abandon TV. Sure we have seen big fights on TV and in addition they have streaming options for the consumer. Here they just shut out Traditional TV consumers. And remember boxing already has a older demographic then most other top sports. Older folks who have not yet moved away from traditional TV and they literally have no way to watch this fight now. You just alienated a huge population of boxing fans. I can see this working in a year or 2 if the app takes off but right now it just leaves a bad taste in people's mouth for a brand new app that nobody is using today and so far everything I read isn't about people wanting to run and get this it's folks sticking their middle finger up saying well then I'm not watching this fight.

Crawford isn't a big name to young casual fans so they are just going to move on to something else and hard core fans and older fans are the ones suffering. Lost opportunity to grow the sport to casuals, lost opportunity for Crawford because less people will see or talk about this fight now.

This move significantly reduces Bud's visibility. Why would anybody sign up for a monthly sub to this for boxing? Now that Loma is out, there's nothing to look forward to. Bud doesn't even have any future opponents on his side of the fence that would warrant paying for this long term.

I don't like this move at all. If it was on both live TV and the app (like Loma v. Linares) that would make more sense.

I'll be watching Mares v LSC and Charlo v Trout. Not paying for this app when this is the only fight on that network that matters for the foreseeable future.

No you don't get it lol

We already have a Showtime app w/boxing with the best calendar in the sport, but people can still watch on cable if they want.

The issue with this ESPN app is the content/calendar. Why would anybody sign up for this to watch one fight? The content on this app is garbage and the Top Rank/ESPN calendar isn't very appealing. Plus Loma is out smh.

This fight should be on regular ESPN and the app. Not exclusive to app. It's too early for that, the platform needs to be built out.

The fücking prïçks behind the garbage shît ESPN+

I am going to streaming this fight for free the same way I did with the Amir Khan and Jerwin Ancajas fight when they did in this garbage ESPN+. I am not going to pay for a fücking shít application. Bob Arum and the Hotshots of ESPN can shove this shit garbage ESPN+ in the depth of their fucking áss.

ESPN+....good luck with that! They are about to learn it's more than one way to stream a fight.

If lot of people are reacting so negatively to this. Imagine if Deontay wilder, mikey Garcia, keith Thurman, Errol spence, leo santa cruz, etc signed to DAZN where they would basically lose followers they built up for years.

True. Sports in general are meant to be watched/viewed by an audience. Since the early days, people would gather around a radio and listen to the broadcasters speak about the fight. This transitioned to the TV so you can now watch your favorite fighters with friends or family or go to restaurants that are showing the fights. The idea of downloading an app and watching it on a phone or tablet takes away the atmosphere. Now it's cool if you want to watch fights alone I do all the time, but like you said streaming and apps how reliable are they really.

Damn am I the only one who actually subscribed to ESPN PLUS strictly for boxing??
I've had this app for a month already and haven't even used it. I was gonna watch the Jerwin Arcanjas fight on it but I completely forgot about it on fight night.
But I'm getting frustrated with all these apps. I'm paying for HBO, Showtime, cable, and now ESPN PLUS. But that's it. I'm done paying for boxing besides what I already am paying. But I'll keep an open mind cause If Eddie Hearn signs some good fighters to his DAZN app then I'm sure I'll be paying for that too....
But I can't wait for the Crawford-Horn fight this Saturday... I'm supposed to go out with this fine ass biitch on Saturday but I'm gonna cancel on her cause I'm not missing this fight. I'll invite her over to watch the fight but IDK if she'll wanna come over for our first date to watch boxing.... If she don't then fucc her! Her loss! 😅😆

The idea of of watching it on a smartphone or tablet takes the atmosphere and the social interactions away. I understand that it may please the younger demographic but this is boxing and a huge population that watch the sport are older. My older family members would never even think of watching fights on a phone or tablet.
