Your it's more a case of you ignoring the 1.3m They rounded Canelo vs Jr up anyways in my opinion it was like when Floyd started withholding his numbers and they would never release the final tally just say it was EXPECTED to do 1m buys and use keywords like that when in reality probably closer to 970-990k

No one is waiting until Golovkin turns 40, turns 50 or turns 37. No one cares. The likelihood of a rematch is as close to zero as you can get. After all the hysterics from Golovkin, Sanchez and the GGG cheerleaders, I for one am glad Golovkin is not getting another payday from Canelo. Maybe GGG and McGregor can put on a freak show and GGG can make big money that way. No wait! That has already been done, so not many will watch that one.Comment

The reason I don't buy any of this is because Canelo and Golden Boy makes more money with Golovkin at 50/50 than they do against virtually anyone else. Even if they by some miracle can get 800k PPV buys against Jacobs at 70/30, that's 800k*$70 = $56m / 2 =~28m * 70% = 19.6m
Golovkin at 50/50, even if you go conservative and project only 1.2m PPVs, you're looking at 1.2m*$70 = 84m/2 = 42m * 50% = 21m.
And the important part to note is that those are very conservative estimates for Golovkin and highly optimistic for Jacobs. Canelo sells 300-500k PPVs against non-PPV fighters (Khan & Smith). I don't think Jacobs is nearly as popular as Khan. If you take a shot in the dark and say Jacobs will do somewhere between them, you're looking at 400k PPVs which generates Canelo less than $10M.
On the opposite spectrum is Golovkin rematch. The post fight has had a LOT of talk and a lot of drama, it got built up very well over the past 9 months. Realistically, it can hit 2M buys. Let's say it's slightly under that, 1.8m PPVs. Due to the magnitude of the fight, they can also charge a higher price for it (remember $100 for Floyd-Pac?). Say it's $80 for HD instead of 70. All of a sudden you're looking at $80*1.8m = $144m / 2 = $72m * 50% = $36M.
If you're not interested in the math, the short story is that everyone says that Golovkin is in the twilight of his career and can not walk away from $25-30M he's scheduled to make against Canelo. Well at 50/50%, the opposite applies to Canelo - he's also looking at same $25-30M, something he can't do against any of the current opponents.Comment

I gotta say Triple g is one of the ******est motherfvccers out there if Canelo moves on and fights someone else...
And what happened to all the haters who kept saying Canelo wouldn't fight Danny Jacobs and was gonna settle on Spike???
What you fools got to say about this??
100s of Jacobs and Lemiuex. All road leads to them belts, and it sure as f-k will be 50/50 split. So fishnets can shove another
spoon and stfu.Comment
