Crawford is the Kawhi Leonard of boxing. the guy don't talk. ppl saying he should be more outspoken to make more money probably have a point but maybe Bud is comfortable making what he's making now. not everybody needs Floyd type money to be happy. the guy is satisfied being in his own lane.Comment

Crawford is bad with the media. He banned his hometown papers. I've seen boxing writers on Twitter complain about getting a Crawford interview. I've seen people on youtube complain about getting interviews. Crawford is a great talent but you need the media to help you grow your brand. Yea they're gonna be unfair but do we really care what the Australian media is saying about Crawford in Australia?
He's a very low key quiet kind of guy that doesn't have an abundance of personality and unfortunately it seems that type personality isn't a ticket seller beyond his hometown. People want to see clowns like Broner over a great fighter like Crawford because he's not controversial or overly charismatic.
Banning the Australian media is whatever. The fight is about Crawford and Horn's camp have been very annoying and trying mind games the whole time and that's just not Bud's style so he's probably just said "**** them" and not wanted to engage but is happy sticking it to them.
I think his management has done some good in getting him on First Take, the NBA celebrity all-star game but he's got to be more vocal in the build-up to his fights and should work on getting some endorsements. He should be marketable for the right reasons - local hero, good story and background, great style and humble. Cameron Dunkin is a good manager I'm just wondering if there's a lot of interference on the handling of him in general.Comment

Bud has all the ingredients to be a PPV superstar, you name he got it!
He talked some good trash to Team Horn as well!
Society is very ***ed is why he's not what he should be, ADHD times we're living in!Comment

I still don't get what the reason is.
What is the auto body incident?
Is this bud trying to play mind games? What advantage or reason could there be to do this.
Yeah come to think of it is, he is a quiet dude. You don't need to have a loud personality to be big as some imply. You just need to be sensational. Looks at Pacquiao, dude barely could speak English most of his career.Comment

When hagler was in “prison” he literally had no contact with anyone aside from the guys in his training camp. He was 100 percent devoted to conditioning himself for his opponent. Lack of media exposure didn’t stop him from reaching stardom, however his rise was anything but easy.Comment

Errol Spence is another that's very quite and could lift his media profile a fair bit, its hard for fighters as most just want to fight but they must sell themselves in the media also if they want to really make it big.Comment

Bud is still going to do promo, just not with Australian media. I assume this is Bud having a bad experience with an Aussie outlet and is flexing. Only thing I can think of.Comment
