Just like Joe did when Roy was prime:

"Be honest, Roy's a great fighter. And I'm not chasing him, because I don't want tough fights"

      Joe Calzaghe - 1999

He'd be #1 All Time P4P with a lot of guys if he'd have retired post-winning the HW title I feel like. He mighta overtaken SRR as the go to mainstream boxing fan go to answer for who's the ATG P4P #1 guy. He'd certainly be a guy the current era of fans would more likely choose RJJ over SRR.

-Wins over Hopkins, Toney, Griffin, Hill and Ruiz
-First fighter since Bob Fitzsimmons to win titles from MW to HW
-Only fighter to start career at JMW and win a HW title
It would have been super cool, but it doesn't matter because WE KNOW Jones was a supernova.

I rate him right under Ray Robinson who holds my #1 slot.

Lol, I love listening to the talk of, "Losing muscle to get back down." Dude, he didn't gain any muscle to fight Ruiz. He just didn't cut. He probably walked around everyday around 190+.

                  Even Joe doesn't believe that.
