It's debatable but I think Charlo has the better jab and would prove that if they were to fight plus he has the height and reach advantage to help him execute the jab, it's not the be all and end all having the height and reach I get that but in this case I think it would be crucial.

In recent fights against elite opposition like Canelo and Jacobs Golovkin got by on his jab, it's a great weapon but I think they lacked the stinging jab that Charlo has to disarm Golovkin further.

That's the key to this potential fight imo, maybe i'm wrong but we'll see if it happens.

golovkin fans on boxing boards were pretty much all in consensus.....the same way they all swore kovalev was going to murder ward...not once...but def the 2nd time!

i know what the odds were...i followed them very closely....the golovkin fanboys were claiming domination for over a year out before the fight...dont pretend like they werent...."canyellow" and every other term was thrown around

And a lot of Canelo fans/GGG haters/anti Euro guys were picking Canelo to win rather easily.

So I don't think GGG was "supposed to" destroy Canelo. It was considered a close match-up and played out that way with Canelo getting a gift draw that the vast majority of people strongly disagreed with. Only a certain type of fan said it he didn't win.

If the fight happens, GGG by knockout. Yes, even a 36-37 year old GGG will ko Charlo, Charlo will realize there are levels in boxing.
what decent MW did canelo face?

who gives a ****.....what mw did vanes fight in the last two years? what mw did brook fight? how about rosado?

Accurate post. Golovkin may be getting older but he’s too strong for any MW in the division right now. Things may change in the future but Charlo won’t be the one to change things imo. I still want to see Golovkin face Charlo to quiet some of the nonbelievers

you say you dont "think" he was supposed to...go back and read the threads from when canelo was ducking..lol

canelo came alot closer to winning than ggg did to dominating...thats just fact....here you are trying to act above fanboyism by saying "only a certain type of fan"....but you arent any different.....same ole chris...acting above it all while engaging in the same behavior you swear you detest...its great

lines were pretty tight on both ward/kova fights...yet kova/anti ward fans swore ward was going to die in the ring and then he didnt...then it was "kova got robbed this time kova is going to savagely end wards career if ward even shows up...why hasnt he signed the rematch yet? i thought terms were already agreed to? hes shook"

                whooops

now pretend like that wasnt a narrative of a "certain type of fan" around here....lol..go ahead

Both “fans” were wide of the mark. A lot of Canelo rooters said it would be easy and the fight was about an 8-4 fight so that’s one round from being fairly dominant. Canelo was about 3-5 rounds away from what that side claimed.

Anyway the original point was that he “wasn’t supposed to” dominate but you’ve done your usual obsessed with what a few internet fans of a fighter you dislike said and spin their to suit your narrative meanwhile in the real world the fight was considered a close one that GGG would win and minus a bad decision he did seem to do that.
