Comments Thread For: Callum Smith: I Have The Style To Beat Groves, He's Vulnerable!

Undefeated super middleweight Callum Smith received some good news earlier this week, when it was confirmed that WBA champion George Groves was physically capable of moving forward with the final bout of the World Boxing Super Series tournament.

Groves health will be key, Smith hasn't looked elite since the Fielding/Mohoumadi fights. A healthy Groves beats the guy that fought Skoglund and Holzken

I don't think Groves is quite as vulnerable as he looks. He's been in with some good punchers and offensive fighters and only been stopped fairly once by a hellacious shot by Froch, who is one of best 168 fighters of the last decade.

He's been in some wars though and maybe there was a hint in his interviews prior to the Eubank fight that he can see the end approaching?

At the end of that fight my money was firmly on George, but if there's any weakness Smith is capable of exploiting it. I make him slight favourite now.

Until proven otherwise, Groves is still the elite in this division. It is a weaker division, but Groves is a quality fighter and a proven champion. I will put money on Smith coming to fight, but he has to show a little something he hasn't yet to win, or Groves has to show he has slipped in a way he hasn't yet shown to lose.

Groves wins. Possible mid-to-late round TKO, likely by wide UD in a fun final.

I think I'll stick a few quid on Smith. I'd normally favour Groves but if he's got a dodgy shoulder I make Smith the favourite.

Good to see Groves will be healthy enough to go. Another really good fight.
