You don't beat the #2 guy in a division if you aren't very good. Hell you don't even beat Ricky Burns if you aren't a very good fighter usually.

And maybe that would be a style matchup issue for Indongo, but thats a whole different argument in who's better on ones resume. Indongo has done sh^t. And not that long ago. Imam has never done anything. He lost his first step up fight & fought bums til the Ramirez fight came up. Imam needs to beat any legit guy first of all before we start giving him THAT much credit for sh^t he ain[t do yet & Indongo has.

Forget rankings for a second. How good is Troyanovsky, really? I’m looking at styles here. Imam would be hell for Indongo.

FYi, I’m a big Indongo fan. Been following him since before he upset Troya in russia.

I don't think styles are relevant or THAT relevant in a what have you done argument.

I mean for example one SHOULD say Adrien Broner has proven more than Josh Taylor in the ring, but I think Josh f#cks up Broner's day if they fought. But a W over Broner is gonna mean more to a guy than a W over Taylor would today as we speak. Today as we speak is how I'm discussing guys.

I’m not discussing resume or accomplishments though. Just chimed in that style-wise, I think Imam beats Indongo.

Yea I wouldn't argue with that. Well I mean I'd probably say it'll be competitive & that I'm leaning Imam's way or maybe I see it as a toss up would be more accurate cuz I don't think its a massacre or anything. Imam is a dumpster fire so I won't be surprised with him losing any fight vs a notable guy.

But as to the overall stance I was arguing a different point altogether doe so we crossing streams a lil bit on sh^t the other guy ain't saying sh^t about.

He beat Troya who most had ranked #2 in the division at the time for his belt. Then he beat Burns for his belt. You can't retroactively decide the #2 guy wasn't the #2 guy when virtually every pundit considered him #2.
Regis has a better IQ but Imam still pasted Ramirez heavily and showed a level of stamina Regis hasn't had to display yet. Prograis is still on the come up, and he hasn't been in that grueling stamina testing dog fight yet. I agree that he is setting guys up in there nicely and that gets most out at 40 but Ramirez is a different animal to me. Regis would be the best fighter Ramirez has ever fought and vice versa for sure. I think Ramirez's ability to hold the pocket could pose some challenging questions to Prograis' durability that haven't been asked yet. Regis ain't blasting this guy out of there. Thats a dog fight.

Can't really disagree with anything you're saying here outside of Regis' ability to blast Ramirez out, which I think exists more then you do, but I'd probably lean towards this being a longer duration fight & a fun one cuz while I've been critical of Ramirez I don't think he sucks exactly either. Good post.
