Truth is Floyd ruined the sport. He took the least risk highest reward fights the latter part of his career ans got paid well for them. Now everyone wants to be like him including ggg and canelo. Me we don’t fawk around seems be continuosly fawking around and mr not a business man is all of a sudden about business. Money talks bull sh it walks
Sucks but it is what it is and it seems the vast majority of the elite fighters think that way now
This isn't about Floyd, but bringing in Floyd to belittle him as a response to someone critiquing GGG's career is weak.

Because the same logic can't be applied to Floyd because he had a completely different career than GGG, it's not even close. Floyd fought the #1 guy in every weight class he stepped foot in.

130: Genaro Hernandez [Ring #1 entering the Floyd fight in 1998), Diego Corrales [Ring #1 entering the Floyd fight in 2001)

135: Jose Luis Castillo [Ring #1 entering the Floyd fight in 2002] (whether you think he lost or not isn't the point.)

140: Arturo Gatti (Yes, the punchline Gatti, I get it, but he was the reigning WBC champ and The Ring's #1 ranked 140 fighter when FMJ fought him).

147: Carlos Baldomir [Ring #1 in 2006], Manny Pacquiao [Ring #1 in 2015].

    154: Cotto [Ring #1 in 2012], Canelo [Ring #1 in 2013].

Floyd fought a total of 8 Ring #1 ranked fighters in 5 weight classes, and that's not including all the #2's and #3's and other top 10 fighters he fought throughout his career. Floyd took risks, and to say otherwise or try to spin it is a blatant lie.

When GGG was being called up to come up 8lbs to 168 by Ward, he was absolutely shook in interviews. But then in other interviews he would express interest in fighting a 38 year old Froch or Chavez Jr.

This man is a cowardly bully, stop defending him. Floyd took risks whether you want to acknowledge that or not, he did take risks. Floyd was too good so the goal post was always moved by his detractors when ever he did what was asked of him. GGG hasn't done ****, he never fought Ward, doesn't want to settle the score with Jacobs, is pricing himself out of a Canelo rematch, ducking Charlo, fought Martirosyan over Dev.

He's on a roll and he's 36 and never put in work at a young age like Floyd did. Floyd fighting McGregor and Berto in his near 40s is way different than GGG's ducking because Floyd already put in work from 1998 to 2015.

Kev you obviously didn’t understand my post. I won’t waste my time because you are obviously a flo mo. Ward himself said in an interview shortly after he called ggg out that he can’t make the weight even the horse whisperer said it too but y’all seem to forget that. It’s ok selective memory

Now he will have to accept the Canelo terms(I hope Canelo counters now with a lower offer for GGG's bull****), fight Charlo, or be stripped. Hell he might get stripped by both the WBC and IBF . He fights for belts doe

So people were willing to fight floyd, but not Gennady, but G is the coward? Lol. Your generation is seriously deluded. The number 1 middelweight declined to fight Gennady several times but G is the coward. Hilarious.

the #1 mws were really welters and jr mws fighting at catchweights(aside from Martinez since I'm guessing you are including him)....why did lil g refuse to negotiate a CW fight with either cotto or canelo even though both won and defended the title at catchweights?
