Not talking about alphabet rankings. Talking about the major independent world rankings. TBRB, Boxrec, ESPN, etc etc.
Stiverne was #2 or #3 in all the major independent world rankings. King Kong was top 3 or 4 in most of the major independent world rankings.
Charles Martin was nowhere close to that. Parker never reached that level. Klitschko was highly respected and a HUGE NAME, but with 18 months off, and coming off a loss, he was removed from many of the most respected rankings due to inactivity.Comment

OK, fair enough. You should take a look at the current HW rankings on Boxrec to see how many of the top 20 Wilder has beaten. Not talking about alphabet rankings. Talking about the major independent world rankings. TBRB, Boxrec, ESPN, etc etc.

AJ has the better resume overall. His 5th best win is better than Wilder's 5th best win. But Wilder is the one that on multiple occasions has faced a current top 3 or 4 heavyweight. AJ hasn't done that yet. There are pros and cons to each of their resumes. Wilder has two wins over top 4 guys and not much else. AJ has no wins over top 4 guys, but has beaten a legend and has unified belts.
Maybe they should just fight each other.Comment

Sometimes you can't argue that the sky is green, you might actually increase your credibility elsewhere by taking that into consideration.Stiverne was consensus top 3 in the world and Ortiz was consensus top 4 in the world.
Klitschko was inactive for so long and coming off a loss that many no longer had him in the top 10 due to inactivity.
Parker has the least important belt and no significant wins and was not a consensus top 3 or 4 guy. Many had him outside the top 5, including boxrec.
Wilder has the better top wins than AJ from a ranking perspective. But AJ has had fewer fights and has accomplished more in less time from a championship perspective.
So how about instead of all this fighting on the internet, the two of them fight in the ring in whichever location produces the most revenue?
Outside of Wilder fanboys, everybody knows that the only real decent opponent so far has been Ortiz, and he was unproven because of his equally poor resume.
Anyone who thinks Ortiz and Stiverne was better wins than unifying against Klitschko and Parker needs their heads examining. We all know which was better.
Wilder may well be the better fighter, we will have to wait and see, but to claim is he has anything like a decent resume in more than twice the fights/time in the game just makes any arguement you have fall down on sandLast edited by Kezzer; 05-30-2018, 03:57 AM.Comment

lol@ you queens acting like AJ built some massive popularity...if you switched wilder and AJ and gave wilder a british accent he would be in the exact same position
I love these clowns acting like Aj did some impossible and amazing feat...a monkey could have guided AJ to stardom in the UKComment
