A fighter should fight for what they feel they are worth, if he feels entitled to more then that's right for him, if GBP feels he doesn't deserve it, that's their prerogative. Who cares? Canelo's fight with Liam Smith sold around 300k PPVs. His fight with GGG sold 1.3 million. It was Canelo's second best performing PPV of his career. Without GGG in the other corner there isn't another opponent that Canelo would even get 500k buys with.

They had less than a month to promote GGG-Vanes because of how long it took them to select an opponent. Remember it was O'Sullivan, then it was Mungai, then it was Vanes.
