Nope. I don just know many people that thought he lost to Trout. I know many people thought Alvarez did though.

They also thought he lost to Golovkin. And cotto. And Lara. I could be missing a few.

But that’s neither here nor there. My comment wasn’t made out of Alvarez fear of Charlo. It just isn’t a fight that meets the risk vs reward ratio they are looking for at this time. Charlo isn’t even headlining many fights at this point. Plus he’s on showtime. He is not an option so GB needs to stop w the shucking and jiving. Triple G at 50/50 split gets Alvarez more money and equal risk vs Charlo.

Agreed. I am a fan of BOXING. Boxers WITH talent. Carne-low has talent but got caught up. A talented boxer lost alot of time, money and reputation for fighting a lesser talented boxer. Good to hear a fan speak the truth!

Coz if Canelote didn't fail a drug test, the fight should have happened. Some boxers even sued the offending drug cheat boxer in order to get compensations.

It's irrelevant if he fought on that date. There was a signed contract, which stipulated a purse guarantee of X amount, plus a PPV cut (I'm guessing on that one).

As a result of Canelo's breach, GGG didn't receive the stipulated amount, which obviously was much, much higher than what he made against Vanes.

Unless there's some stipulation that specifically addresses this type of situation, Canelo's more than liable. There's judicial precedent on this matter, so IDK how the hell you're thinking that the Vanes fight undoes Canelo's breach.

Yeah...but GGG fought on the date. He didn't miss out. You don't get compensated because the replacement fighter can't make you as much money as the original.

If there was a purse guarantee, K2 did have sued already. That way the lawsuit would aid in negotiations. But there was not, as such both sides are talking about going in another direction.

If there was a guarantee, you would be spot on...but there wasn't.

By failing a drug test, you offended the other party, the opponent. You need to give the opponent a compensation for causing him a lot of troubles that originate from the failed drug tests. Did Canelote give GGG some compensation?
