Golovkin is the titleholder: Who cares? Titles aren’t as important as many believe they are. He deserved the nod in the first fight: So what? It was officially a draw. The original rematch was scuttled because of Alvarez: ancient history.

Golovkin needs Canelo to make that kind of money, but the author forgets to point out that Canelo needs Golovkin too. Canelo made his biggest purse by far against Golovkin, almost $50M. That more than 4 Times what Canelo made to fight Floyd and Floyd was the PPV King at the time. Seems like a very slanted article if the writer doesn’t point out Canelo made his biggest Payday against Golovkin because of the International drawing power that he has
