In terms of what they bring to the table financially Canelo should get more absolutely. I don't really blame Golovkin for playing hardball though. GBP was intentionally super difficult getting the first fight done so I'm sure it must be somewhat satisfying to mess with them.
The vast majority of people saw Golovkin winning the first fight anyway.
Plus what options does Canelo actually have?
He can fight Jacobs or Charlo sure but would anyone really expect Canelo to win those fights? So basically just Spike lol

Canelo can make more money on a per fight basis sure. But if he really believes in himself, make the fight happen and shut the cirtics and Golovkin up, clearing the doubt that Golovkin is better than him and doing it after a good while under VADA to prove he can also do it clean.
He broke 1 mil with Chavez Jr. If Munguia is moved right he could Break 1 mil with him.

Who can GGG fight that will break 200k?

anywhere from 900k to 1.2 mil... but pick the lowest number if you want, still 6 times more than ggg... 50-50 is plain delusional...

Because Cotto's team was the lead promoter. GGG needs to put together a offer with his team as the lead promoter if he wants more money.

Anywhere from 800k, according to the same source that said 97k.

This doesn't explain how Canelo has far less views on YouTube, though.

            Something doesn't add up.

Is this the only money fight this Loeffler clown can make or what?
You don't have to accept the deal. Move on and fight someone more competitive.
Fans already saw how the fight would look like.
How many times do we have to see it?
You might as well make rematches for every fight and stop until you get a different result, depending on each fanbase's perspective.
Things are getting worse in this sport.
We have only one lifetime to live and fights are getting made at a turtle pace speed.

                  It's odd, innit?
Mexico is lower on the GDP list than Kazakhstan.
Lower than most European countries, including Romania, Poland, Estonia, Greece.. Yet none of these can afford PPV?

Doesn't really add up, now does it?

Either boxing is really unpopular outside North America, or the figures don't add up.

50/50 my ass haha. GG must have went to Pacman’s school of contracts and negotiations but that is ******.

Canelo testing positive for drugs is irrelevant when talking about purses.

Canelo is still the ticket seller

While I do believe GGG getting a 50/50 split is debatable, what I believe is not debatable is him deserving more than 35%.

55/45 or a little less seems fair to me. There is no denying that Alvarez has broader appeal and support, however GGG isn't some dude who juggles boxing with giving *******s in truck stop restrooms, this dude is one of the best active middleweights.

Demanding that he accept a ****ty split again for the rematch is Cotto-esque diva bull****.

All this extra bull is annoying. Offer a fair split, hammer out the details, and sign the ****in fight. We aren't roasting brisket - we don't need ****in marinade.
