Roy should take note after B-HOP, and know when it's over.
Little or no interest in Roy's comeback fight?

Lost all interest I had (none) when Roy said he lost to Tarver on purpose. Worst excuse of all time. I dub thee, Roy Jones Jr., the KING of excuses.Comment

Yeah, who wants to see someone who was the king of the jungle get eatin alive buy all the new young lions. Roy is shot and shot bad. Tarver schooled him 3 times, Jones couldnt even take the "power" from Tarver's shots. And you see how B-Hop just murdered the Magic Man. I mean werent RJJ and B-Hop equal at one point?
Jones is done and needs to hang them up. He was an awesome novelty at one poin, but never one of the all-time greats.
His speed was a spectacle, and it got him by but now he needs to rely on his veteran skills he aquired during all those gruelling championship bouts that honed his skills. Wait...that never really happened did it.
He was soo F**cking ****y all his career he didnt bother to learn anything his whole career other that he was fast. Guess what, he is slow now, so he has nothing left.
Bye bye Roy. Thanks for the memories.Comment

NO haters here, I was saddend to see Roy loose to Tarver. Like I said he was a spectacle to behold.
But his true colors showed later in his career.Comment

**** Diego, he's just on Tarver's nuts anyway..I'm looking forward to this fight, which I hope Jones can win, but I have that gut feeling i'll see otherwise.Comment

Originally posted by !! AnorakI note that it's little over a month before Roy makes his comeback from nine months out of the ring, yet few people seem to be discussing it.
When Roy was due to rematch Tarver there was widespread discussion on this board months before it took place.
Now, I realise that a third fight with Tarver (and his first back since consequtive KO defeats) garners more interest. Add to that the fact that most of aren't really all that familiar with the opponent (are we?)
I've had a look at Prince Badi Ajamu's record and it isn't that bad, just two (points) losses and a draw, and some decent if not great competition. If you want to employ triangular logic then his biggest loss was a wide points loss to Rico Hoye, one of just four men to take Hoye the distance before he was stopped in five by Clinton Woods. Woods of course was rescued in six from a prime Roy, though Woods has marginally improved and Roy has drastically declined.
it might be fair to say that Roy is "faded" though I'd by no means suggest he was shot, as he's still roughly capable of operating at a high level, and this should be a relatively straight forward bout for him. However, we said that about Glen Johnson...
