I note that it's little over a month before Roy makes his comeback from nine months out of the ring, yet few people seem to be discussing it.
When Roy was due to rematch Tarver there was widespread discussion on this board months before it took place.
Now, I realise that a third fight with Tarver (and his first back since consequtive KO defeats) garners more interest. Add to that the fact that most of aren't really all that familiar with the opponent (are we?)
I've had a look at Prince Badi Ajamu's record and it isn't that bad, just two (points) losses and a draw, and some decent if not great competition. If you want to employ triangular logic then his biggest loss was a wide points loss to Rico Hoye, one of just four men to take Hoye the distance before he was stopped in five by Clinton Woods. Woods of course was rescued in six from a prime Roy, though Woods has marginally improved and Roy has drastically declined.
it might be fair to say that Roy is "faded" though I'd by no means suggest he was shot, as he's still roughly capable of operating at a high level, and this should be a relatively straight forward bout for him. However, we said that about Glen Johnson...
