Comments Thread For: Brendan Ingle, Dean Francis Pass Away: Boxing World Mourns

Boxing is mourning the loss today of legendary trainer Brendan Ingle and former British and European champion Dean Francis. Ingle, 77, passed away at the Royal Hallamshire hospital in Sheffield this morning (Friday, May 25). A former middleweight boxer, Ingle is best known for the ridiculously good conveyor belt of talent he produced and developed at the iconic Wincobank Gym in Sheffield. Naseem Hamed, Herol Graham, Ryan Rhodes, Junior Witter are just some of the names he took under his wing and helped guide to title glory.

Very sad. Ingle was a great trainer and will be missed. But Francis gone at 44 is a real shame.
