He turned more less than 4 years ago and is a mandatory for a title shot. Sure, some people move faster like Loma, but Derevyanchenko's pace is pretty standard in modern boxing. It also hurts him that his promoter, DiBella (PBC/Haymon), has a very bad rap at securing decent fights and keeping his fighters inactive.
It also likely hurts him that the risk/reward ratio is very poor. He's a terrific fighter, but him taking your scalp pays peanuts. And I don't mean $1M peanuts, more like $100-200k max.Comment
