If Povetkin were to fight AJ and turn out to be better than AJ fair play to him (AJ is still rich and can retire happy), just a shame about Povetkins drug record really. I'd prefer AJ to win I think he's the better ambassador for the sport but if Povetkin did beat him I don't have a problem with that in the same way Parker would have deserved our support if he beat him. Whoever wins their the champ what's the issue with that its only Wilder that's been running for 40 fights everyone else has been fighting. No loss to the game if AJ turns out not to be the best.

If it turns out Brezeale and Povetkin are left standing for undisputed or Tyson Fury whats the issue you still get to undisputed just a different route ?
Wilder is far better than Breazeale is, especially compared to the relative talent difference between Joshua and Povetkin.

The top heavyweight fighters, in whatever order you want, are Wilder and Joshua on top, with Fury and Povetkin just under that, with Pulev, Ortiz, and maybe Parker under that.

If you're still hanging on the wish that Wilder is so bad a fighter that he just gets chinned with a punch, that's on you

Time will tell how much he wants Wilder. Talk is cheap. I have little confidence that this fight happens any time soon.

Given all of the issues that Fury has had with overeating, inactivity, drug and alcohol abuse and mental illness, I think we need to see if he can even be competitive anymore. I would definitely hold off on considering him just a step below the top in the division.

I totally agree with you. The geographical location is imperative in making this fight a classic. Imagine if they held this heavyweight contest in Nigeria. That would be ******. So what if both fighters are of Nigerian descent and the obvious tax subsidies that they will benefit from, compared to the U.K. Furthermore Wilder should stick 2 fingers up to America( yeah I said it, don’t adjust your computer screens) leaving him to rot in Alabama and defend for himself. I was defending him when he was the butt of everyone’s jokes. Now he is slowly forming notoriety off Joshua’s name and now he is my sworn enemy. Anyway we are trying to get over the hurdle of both fighters agreeing on their splits and where the fight takes place first and you are throwing your toys out the pram telling us you will not support it and your dodge ball team members will follow suit. What kind of prude are you?

My point is that you don't get that boom, especially in the US, with a live showdown at 2pm.

Roll the dice, and if Joshua makes it through both fights (in my perfect world, we'd get a trilogy, but that's just being selfish), he keeps fighting three times a year, with two fights in the US, and an annual fight in the UK/EU/Africa (everything basically in the same time zone for Sky Box Office; likely aired on CBS in the US).

Fair enough, tbh. Would need to see what Fury has left.

I want AJ to leave the ring like spilka! But in the first round! I want a brutal statement! I don't want him to see the 2nd round. For what? Hearns says AJ can beat wilder in 3rds.. I say the reverse is more likely.

                      First, a lowball offer.

Then he rationalizes it by saying the fight is worth only $40 million.

Then Joshua is offered a monstrous $50 million per his own request.

Hearn questions the validity of it.

Then he admits it’s real and negotiations begin.

Then he says it’s a good deal, but it’s up to Joshua whether he wants to fight in the US or UK, knowing they generate about half the amount in the UK.

                      What’s there to think about?

Hearn can’t control the promotion in the US and he doesn’t want that.

Conclusion: We’re getting the run around. On to Povetkin and Breazeale.
I had high hopes as of yesterday but now am losing hope. Disappointed to see them turning down 50m. After claiming they would “Sign tomorrow”
