I agree that this is Ward’s thinking too. But I also think it isn’t very smart. Andre was considered pound for pound best and the TOP fighter in two weight classes. He has enough belts and should now be fighting more so for money than accolades or titles. This is a perfect fight for him. Big financial upside to fight Bellew while he is on fire, in the UK. Legit interest from some fans on what the outcome would be due to Wards size and inactivity, as well as the impression that Bellew is a better version of himself now that he is north of 175. If I was Wards manager I would be 100 % for this fight. Same as I would have been against GGG fighting Sergei on 4 weeks notice. Time to make money decisions, these guys have enough belts.

When I look at Bellew’s face compared to when he fought Adonis, I think he should retire. Would love to see him low blow Ward into submission or get knocked out of the ring by Fury.
