The Adonis Stevenson-Badou Jack fight drew a peak audience of 611,000 viewers on Saturday night for Showtime. According to ratings released Tuesday by Nielsen Media Research, the main event of a "Showtime Championship Boxing" doubleheader averaged 535,000 viewers. The Quebec-based Stevenson (29-1-1, 24 KOs) and Sweden's Jack (22-1-3, 13 KOs) battled to a 12-round majority draw, which enabled the 40-year-old Stevenson to retain his WBC light heavyweight title at Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

If "they" really want Boxing to flourish in Canada
they should stop trying to sell TV-quality fights as PPV. Canadians are not rubes to be taken advantage of. They sell Stevenson and David Lemieux fights as PPV events, and then they wonder why boxing is not more popular here. It's been this way as long as I've been a fan. They used to try to sell 'Hercules Kyvelos' fights on PPV here. Ridiculous.

Showtimes rating don't mean much and haven't for the past 2 years. There's over 4 million people to subscribe to Showtimes ******ing service and there's plenty who watch fights via the app that don't get counted on by TV ratings. I've been watching Showtime boxing via the app for the past 2 years and know plenty who do the same.
I believe only HBO ratings are somewhat close to accurate. Their ******ing channels don't show live fights and are only available through to ****** through the DirectTv app or any other cable provider app. We will never know the exact views of a boxing card with people ******ing through ESPN+, ESPN app, Showtime app and the soon to come Dazn.

what's worse is the fight gets blacked out in other regions cuz of the ppv. does me watching the damn fight on the west coast take away from ppv sales? I didn't even see the ppv offered anywhere by my provider either. those ****ty regional ppvs leave me with no option at all for watching the fight.
