He’s pretty much saying what every experienced boxer and promoter has already said. But I’m sure all the dorito munching armchair fans and PlayStation addicts on this forum understand the sport better and give far better advice.

Does anyone actually think joshua has a chance? Hell no! The A juicing J Gravy train is over if he ever fights wilder! Period! 1st round brutal knock out.. all u.k fans will soon be wilders fans by default. Lmao no where to run eddie.. no where to hide! American dominance of the heavyweight division is back baby!!! Free smoke! No more excuses..Comment

If he still needs training wheels give up the belts.Comment

Wrong. If Wilder fronts $50 million plus PPV upside he picks the site and date. only way AJ picks the venue is if he counters with a better offer. For months AJ nutters on here kept saying the $50 million was imaginary and a PR stunt doe.. you AJuicers have no credibility.Comment

Atlas, Roy jones, mikes Tyson, frank Bruno, whos next? these will all be used as reasons why hearn ducking the fight will be accepted. I don't think its AJ ducking its hearn. smart business move but all the BS interviews and nonsense was too much and his fans bought into it. AJ is a clown for allowing eddie to talk him out of 50mil if he walks away.Comment

This post is no different from any other with the exception of financial discussions left out .
The fight STILL is reliant on Wilder and if he wants to actually fight bc he will then need to cooperate with the side thats generating this fight which is not Wilders .
This really is up to Wilder ,he cannot expect to call himself THE HW champion without a Joshua win and make it difficult for everyone by trying to dictating terms ,hes not in that position . I dont know how its even an issue or debatable.
Seriously how does Wilders stock rise fighting guys who Joshua defeated at this point while Joshua takes on Povetkin , Miller ( no one defeated him ) and whoever else a possible mandatory ?
You CANNOT give Wilder simple excuses to avoid this fight and thats why money is discussed and his is an illogical reason based on MONEY which you guys argue against .
We agree the fight should happen but that includes why its not happening yet .
A simple question would be what does not getting 12.5 Million do for him (we know it'll be closer to15 if the fight goes through )?Last edited by juggernaut666; 05-21-2018, 04:35 PM.Comment

Big fan of Roy, have to disagree with him here. In the heavyweight division, most of these guys will hurt you when they hit you flush, especially the fighters in the upper echelon of the division. Wilder has power but he can get hurt too like he did against Ortiz. So there is nothing technically or fundamentally sound about Wilder that is overwhelming for Joshua or suggests Joshua needs a few more fights before facing him. I can see if Joshua was facing a Lennox Lewis, Holyfield, Bowe, Tyson, or even a Vitali in their primes; he would need some more fights prior to getting into the ring with them. But there is no one in this division right now that requires Joshua to need a few more fights. Come on Roy, Wilder has power but he is also fundamentally flawed and so is Joshua. That’s why it’s really a pick em fight. And Joshua “may be” more technically sound. But they are both ready for each other right now. If any one needs a few more fights to work on his boxing, it’s Wilder.Last edited by markther; 05-21-2018, 04:32 PM.Comment

i think jones talks in 2 halfs ...one is truth when he says the fight should take place in the uk and the other false half is joshua needs two more fights before wilder.
Wilder is not the type of opponent that you need heaps of experience with.
Wilder is unconventional and you can have all the experience in the world but he still might catch you cold.
Joshua will win because he has better punch delivery and better tecnique and when he lands on wilder will not know whats hit him.
Joshua is by far the most powerful and biggest puncher wilder has ever faced.
So i see it ending in the same manner when joshua timed charles martin and ended with a clean right hand.
I know wilder is better than martin but he will is still reckless and leaves himself wide open.Comment

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I sense some fear for Joshua's safety and concern about his financial future. It's almost like an eerie sense that Joshua should capitalize off his fame a little longer, before he faces Wilder, because maybe that might not go well for him. Barry Hearn, Teddy, Atlas, Roy Jones Jr., etc. Oh well, maybe it's just me?Comment
