He's lost a lot of weight but he's still far from his shape vs Klitschko. And in that shape he has to be to even have a chance vs Joshua.
Plus the long lay off, his coke problem. He's abused his body a lot. No way he's ready for AJ. Or Wilder even.
Agree with the rest of your post doe.
100% he's far from being the guy who fought Klitschko - I meant just purely from a promotional stand point. Sure, he could probably fight AJ now and make some money, but he's smart enough to know that he'll get a bigger pot if he gets the fans excited + obviously he has a much higher chance of winning if he is actually fighting regularly.

Fury's "opponent" is;
40 yrs old.
Has 24 bouts with 20 opponents with losing records.
Only decent man he fought, Manny Charr beat him over 10rds.
Horrible opponent, this is a guy you bring in to spar with for a session then build on that, if you can!
Total joke complete sham to try to sell tickets to watch this tripe!

But Fury would never fight AJ straight away anyway imo. Not in his character.
He needs to fight 2-3 opponents first. A Bum, a decent journeyman and then someone from top 10.
He's not ready.

There is a reason this chap has been picked, and that is because he won't have the skill to test Fury, and definitely won't be able to hurt Warren's investment because he won't have the power.
Lacklustre warm-up, likely to be followed by further record padding, to protect the 0 until Joshua or Wilder grants him a payday.
It isn't a comeback until he steps into the ring with a decent Heavyweight, it's televised sparring. I wonder if he'll feel the need to dress up like Batman for this one.
