Plus the fact he knows Warrington can fill the arena in Leeds by holding the belt hostage and fighting poor competition.

That said, i don't rate him that highly despite the win. I'd take the Frampton fight and make some good money. He might end up with Kid Galahad as a mandatory and that fight will be nowhere near as big, despite being a Leeds/Sheffield derby. He could easily end up losing that belt without really capitalising on a big fight.

Kid Galahad should try and get a final eliminator or something if he wants a title shot, he's ranking no.2 now and there's no no.1 contender spot. IBF being as strict as they are won't let Warrington avoid mandatories. I fancy Galahad to beat Warrington, i think he's a better fighter than Selby and can crack too.

They need a serious operator and a world title for Frampton at Windsor Park. And tbh, I can't see there being any.

Gary Russell jr only fought last night too, Warrington has distanced himself and Santa Cruz is tied up. Unless Valdez makes a quick recovery I can't see the WBO title being on the line either. Shame as I really REALLY rate Frampton as one of my favourite active boxers currently.

I really think seeing the majority of picks so aggressively for selby shows how many people really watch fighters and analyse the style matchup compared to how many people are just constantly riding a bandwagon and going with the mainstream majority opinion. cos it wasnt just people picking selby to win it was people saying he was going to stop josh and it would be a mismatch lol was nothing of the sort, josh much grittier and wayyyy too busy. I think he can beat frampton because frampton isnt all that and he's lost a step since before santa cruz , he can be outworked and josh is resilient and consistent.
I had him losing to Kiko in all honesty, He was great last night against a fighter renown to hit and not be hit. Warrington laid traps for him all night and Selby ate them.

But to compare him against Frampton this early is suicide. Frampton has been fighting elite operators for a while now, Warrington has only just thrown his name into the mix. Will be a BIG fight for next year.

          Mega UK fight.

This needs to marinate a little bit.

Why not give Lee Selby his rematch?

It was a close fight, and both guys are on the same recovery timeline.

Warren being in Warrington's corner, openly rooting for one of the two fighters that he "signed", let's it be absolutely clear that that's not even a side thought.

I was about to place money on Warrington, then had a second thought and chose to bet on Adonis Stevenson's knockout win instead.

                Always follow your first instinct.
