I honestly thinks theirs no blanket right or best answer its whatever works for the fighter.
Take lomachenko for instance if he puts on weight he will most likely hurt himself cause he relies on fast twitch muscles and so he will lose speed, explosiveness, reflexes etc etc all that will be off and thats a HUGE PART of what lomachenko relies on in the ring, now take Mikey who we know is gonna be going back to 140 eventually and maybe 147 and who doesnt rely on fast twitch muscles so speed, explosiveness, flexes etc etc will have no change since mikey relies on power, timing, fundalmentals so it doenst harm him to put on some weight cause weight doesnt hurt what he relies on in the ring.Last edited by .!WAR MIKEY!.; 05-20-2018, 02:21 AM.

that implies they have the same skill though.
And you act like Mikey is much bigger. Linares has a bigger reach, and is taller than Mikey.
Plus, like was mentioned earlier, Mikey is a soft 135-140. Which could work for some fighters, but Loma will target the body.
