Which do you think is better for a boxer? Staying within a weight range, or doing the whole bulk/shred routine?

it all depends for what a fighter is trying to do and what works for each other. If you trying to stay in a weight class then staying on point I believe is better but if you plan to move up you want to stack on some weight on your body so you get acclimated to the weight.

I honestly thinks theirs no blanket right or best answer its whatever works for the fighter.

Take lomachenko for instance if he puts on weight he will most likely hurt himself cause he relies on fast twitch muscles and so he will lose speed, explosiveness, reflexes etc etc all that will be off and thats a HUGE PART of what lomachenko relies on in the ring, now take Mikey who we know is gonna be going back to 140 eventually and maybe 147 and who doesnt rely on fast twitch muscles so speed, explosiveness, flexes etc etc will have no change since mikey relies on power, timing, fundalmentals so it doenst harm him to put on some weight cause weight doesnt hurt what he relies on in the ring.

Makes sense, I also think it changes a bit as fighters get older. Like they need to be a bit more careful about putting on too much weight between fights, but when they are younger it isn't such an issue.

The problem is, is that they are not of the same skill level. But the problem is that also styles make fights. Lara-Hurd are not the same level of skill but we all know how it went.

Loma is the most skilled boxer, that's why he's p4p #1

that implies they have the same skill though.

And you act like Mikey is much bigger. Linares has a bigger reach, and is taller than Mikey.

Plus, like was mentioned earlier, Mikey is a soft 135-140. Which could work for some fighters, but Loma will target the body.
