This is a debate that people talk alot about but not directly.
My question is, during this fight and e****ally early, did you give credit to Taylor for the punches Winky blocked? Im not talking about the one's that landed cleanly down the middle but just the one's Winky blocked.
This is a debate in alot of fights but its normaly easy to tell. If a guy blocks your punches then they really shouldnt count or you shouldnt be given much credit for it. On the other hand, if your landing alot on his arms and the opponent is only landing a couple of shots but his are clean then who should be given the most credit? To me, thats still usally not that hard because you can still tell who's being more effective.
Now lets get to the fight. This one was different in regards to blocked punches, because like I said, you usally dont score them much but this fight was different because Winky blocked alot of Taylor's punches early but Taylor was still completely rocking him alot of times.
You get what Im saying? Even when Winky was blocking Taylor, Taylor still hit him so hard that it would knock Winky back. Alot of times in the fight Taylor would hit Winky's arms back into Winkys face with authority so how do you score it?
Do you give the credit to Winky for blocking it or do you give it to Taylor for still rocking him either way because they still seemed to hurt. Alot of fights Winky blocks guys and its all goof for Winky because they dont rock him. When Floyd picks off guys then its great for Floyd because you can tell he's catching everything and there having no impact but this was different because Taylor is so big and strong that Winky was blocking him just like he does everyone else but Taylor would still move him. My point is are all blocked punches the same? If Floyd blocks Mike Tyson's punch he is still getting KTFO. Taylor was rocking Winky on alot of those blocked punches and I believed he may have been given credit from the judges for alot of them.
So how did you score those punches. Remember Im talking about just the ones that were blocked. You can score it one of 3 ways. You can say:
1)I give all the credit to Winky for Blocking them
2)I give all the credit to Taylor for Rocking him
3)I ruled in netural and let the rest determined who won the round
