You should brush up on facts; Posted this Podcast before. 12:12 Interview with DiBella regarding the whole IBF situation. He doesn't blame Golovkin & simply wants K2 to start negotiating May7th for the IBF mandatory since he doesn't think the WBC obligation should still be in effect. WBC was next in rotation & then the rematch was ordered, but feels that should be invalid once Canelo was busted for PED's, kinda agree myself. DiBella never pushing for the May 5 bout, they just want to be next is all. It makes no sense to strip him though because what kind of payday will SDchenko receive fighting for the vacant belt? Either they get the fight next, or wait for winner of GGG vs Canelo & the good payday.

Now since some have brought up Martinez & how the situation is somehow similar? Some seem to forget that DiBella promoted Martinez back then.

    Turnabout is fair-play I say. From 2013

"Shut the f*** up and let [K2 Promotions] build their star. No, you're not right. A 38-year-old fighter is going to make as much money as he can. That's my job and if you don't get that - then go back to school,”

        April 13, 2018:

Regardless, DiBella and Keith Connolly, Derevyanchenko’s manager, want their fighter to get his title shot May 5. If not, they’re certain that the IBF should strip Golovkin of its 160-pound championship, so that the No. 1-rated Derevyanchenko can at least fight someone else for it.

“Derevyanchenko has instructed me to do whatever needs to be done to protect his rights and to secure his IBF title shot immediately,” Connolly said. “Golovkin is looking for a fight, presumably May 5th, and Sergiy is willing and able to fight. I’m puzzled why Golovkin is saying he can’t find an opponent, when he knows he can easily set up a fight with us and get his mandatory out of the way.”

Connolly added that Derevyanchenko isn’t interested in taking step-aside money because, more than anything, the 2008 Olympian wants the world title shot he is owed.

“There is no way Golovkin’s next fight can be against Canelo or anyone except Sergiy without being stripped of the IBF belt,” Connolly said. “I have the utmost respect for Golovkin, but Sergiy has earned his shot, so we will protect his legal rights.”

As a fellow promoter, Lou DiBella understands Tom Loeffler’s predicament. Gennady Golovkin wants to fight May 5 and Loeffler is trying his best to accommodate t

You're going off what Connolly said, not DiBella? Who negotiates the fights bro?

Sanchez says all kinds of things too, but it's still Tom that determines what happens.

From DiBella’s perspective, if Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs) wants to simply keep busy against an opponent less dangerous than Derevyanchenko because he doesn’t want to jeopardize an eight-figure purse for his rematch against Canelo Alvarez, well, that’s Golovkin’s problem.

“It’s a hard, hard fight for Golovkin,” DiBella told BoxingScene.com, referring to Derevyanchenko. “And I’m not even ripping them apart for this. You haven’t heard me say a bad word about Triple-G. You don’t hear me downing Tom. You don’t hear me downing Triple-G.

“I respect them and I understand they’re in a jam, but do the right thing and give up your belt. If you don’t wanna fight [Derevyanchenko], it’s OK. Just give up the belt. You’ve got two or three others. You can’t have it both ways.”

Go listen to the podcast dude, he lays it all out. Says they had no problem with Vanes, just want to be next. This was just posturing trying to force GGG to not have an exception.

To each their own I guess. No way SDchenko was fighting on two weeks notice for short money when they could have it later in the summer for much more. Waiting to see what IBF says, still. Think Loeffler/IBF has a hearing on this in the next week.

                April 17, 2018:

NEW YORK – Andre Rozier understands Gennady Golovkin’s reluctance.

Sergiy Derevyanchenko’s trainer knows why Golovkin doesn’t want to fight the unbeaten Ukrainian contender on such short notice. Rozier realizes as much as anyone that this would be a difficult fight for Golovkin if the middleweight champion had two months to prepare for it, forget two weeks.

“I don’t blame him,” Rozier told BoxingScene.com. “There’s not enough time to prepare and Sergiy can fight. He’s the real deal.”

That doesn’t mean, though, that Rozier wants to give Golovkin a pass for trying to avoid making his mandatory IBF title defense against Derevyanchenko (12-0, 10 KOs) on May 5. Golovkin wants to fight junior middleweight contender Vanes Martirosyan that night, but Derevyanchenko’s promoter, Lou DiBella, has pushed the IBF to strip Golovkin of its 160-pound championship if he doesn’t fight Derevyanchenko two weeks from Saturday night.

“If he doesn’t wanna fight, then he must be stripped,” Rozier said. “What are we gonna be the mandatory for five years? It makes no sense. It’s time to do the right thing, or don’t have sanctioning bodies...”

Who is this Russian guy, never even heard of him. His manager and promoter need to get this guy some publicity. I checked his record and he fought an 8 round fight off TV in his last fight against a guy that is 22 wins 22 losses😂. How is he even qualified to fight GGG fighting 8 rounds in his last fight. GGG shouldn’t vacate the IBF title and let his guy fight for peanuts for a vacant title. He is bigger than the belts now, if the IBF doesn’t give him any respect as a champion. I remember DiBella screaming that Sergio Martinez will never fight GGG, now the shoe is on the other foot.

I think the IBF should, and will, stick to their guns, and force GGG to fight Dervy by August 3rd! I don't see DiBella settling for anything less, because if GGG wins, and then decides to unify, Dervy is azz out again! Canelo blew his chance to win all those belts when he failed 2 tests for PEDs. Dervy shouldn't be passed over for GGG to fight a PED cheat, who holds no titles, and is not a mandatory opponent. If GGG wants that money, he needs to give up the IBF title!

Who actually wants to see a rematch?
Why can't they just forget about this fight and move on?
Of course, Canelo would run again and might even get KO'd.
