Taylor's jab is stronger no doubt but that's because he's the bigger, stronger fighter. Winky's is the cleaner, more effective jab. He was setting up his left hand all night on Taylor's face with his jab. Some people may not remember that though due to Jim Lampley's slobbering of Taylor's nuts.

You guys are overthinking it. Most righties dont throw the jab against soutpaw. Its so hard for it to land because the SouthPaws right hand is right there. Thats why they always throw the straight right and left hooks.

This fight proves nothing wrong about Taylor's jab. Even with Winky's skill level and great defense, Taylor wouldve still thrown alot more jabs if Winky was right handed.

Then you add to that the fact that Taylor keeps his left by hiw waiste and Winky keeps his hands up at all times, Taylor had no chance to land that punch consistently, so he didnt even try much

i don't understand how some of you are so influenced by lampley, maybe i've watch more hbo fights then many here that i rarly hear lamleys voice, especially in a tight fight or a fight im really interested in, i was interested in taylor v. winky and i couldn't tell you any of what lampley may have said.

correct. I've been saying this from DAY ONE, Wright's jab is better than Taylor's all day long... case closed after June 17th

To Taylors credit, if he would have tried to jab, Winky would have came right back with his better jab. It was smart for him not to use it this fight, or Winky would have had it much easier.
