Damn, GGG fans fix your guy. He's making you all look bad here....

I just re-watched the fight as well. I gave Jacobs rounds 2, 6, 10, and 11. Round 7 was very close. Even if I scored it for Jacobs, he still doesn't win. Personally, I felt this fight was closer than Golovkin vs Canelo.

5 pages in and barely any trolls. Wow. I’m impressed. Good job NSB. And as others have stated, close fight. But you don’t win on courage. Jacobs was way too timid. He realized he could take some of GGG’s shots way too late. Had he started earlier and imposed his size, he would have won.

Jacobs ballooned up so much for that fight and was so physically strong as you can see in the clinches yet Golovkin still dropped him and had him respect his power. Even pushed him back with some jabs. I will never understand the hate he gets here. Yes, Abel and Loffer are hypocrites but Golovkin is a special fighter. Jacobs would have stopped most middleweights that night. No trolling, but Golovkin is a great fighter and I think will be regarded as one of the best middleweights.
one of the flashiest of knockdowns. more of an off balance type thing. moras kd was more emphatic.

3g never came close to doing it again in his 2 high level fights.

Golovkin's jab was the real difference in the fight. He actually wobbled Jacobs in the 9th with it. He has a very educated jab as it's not always thrown at the same angle or speed. Golovkin very well may have one of, if not the best jabs in the sport.

No he didn’t but it’s crazy that without a knockdown, he still arguably won that fight. GGG is still a great fighter. It takes a great fighter to push Canelo like that. Honestly. Canelo himself is special fighter and any fighter to be able to hold their own against him is a special fighter too.

Agreed! His jab is almost like a power punch from a B level fighter. It’s so stiff and thudding. Kinda like a prime Miguel Cotto jab. It just snaps an opponent’s head back and dazes them repeatedly.

Cotto knocked Clottey down with a jab, and that dude has a good chin. I remember the look on Clottey's face, it was like "A JAB!? Damn!"

I think Kafod and Jubei make us look the worst. Honestly. Those 2 are clowns.

imho, 3g has faced 2 solid opponents. i felt he won them both (close).

but, again, imho, he didnt look dominant. he beat dj by that kd and his jab was spectacular vs canelo. but thats all he had vs canelo.

people say canelo ''ran'' all night. cmon. you dont land as many power punches as canelo did while running away. and he spent a good deal on the ropes.

all 3g could do was jab.

and the way his NSB fans reacted to his win over vanes !!!!
                      cringe worthy.

since 3g's resume is so light, he needs to be extra great when he gets that rare top level opponent.
