Alvarez's best win are against an old Pascal (MD) and another MD against chilemba (most had Chilemba winning). In light of this, do you still think he has a chance against Kovalev? Hmmmm...

Will have to watch the Chilemba Alvarez fight...

In either case, the guy is good but Kovalev is still top dog in the division right now.

Versus Bivol... Bivol is certainly a good fighter and has stamina... BUT... he does not have Kovalev's experience.

This will be a good fight and would make an awesome passing of the torch fight.

Sergay Kovalev is a HBO HOUSEBOY! you dont want to step outside your comfort zone like Adonis 'Superman' Stevenson and challenge the best!

I think Bivol is very good, but he'll be in for a shocker once he feels Kovalev's power. It'll change his confidence and diminish his output.
People seem to forget exactly what kind of power Kovalev has. Not everyone slips punches like Andre Ward and Bivol certainly won't. I'd pick Kovalev, at least by decision, if not TKO.

Hopefully this fight happens sooner than later. The Krusher is already up there in age closing in on his mid-30s, not saying he's old but he's not as fresh as he used to be. Bivol is a technical fighter and very powerful I could see a Trilogy between these 2 Men. Possibly fight of the Year candidate

He is a good fighter, but I think it comes down to styles. Kovalev is great against guys who want to stand off a little and try to box him, he has the best jab in the division, one of the best in the sport. Whereas with Stevenson he much prefers aggressive guys who will come to him and leave openings. Every single opponent he has defended against has been like that.

I think both Kov and Stevenson are fighting their favoured style match ups and would have a harder time if they switched opponents. Jack's inside game and pressure would give Kov flashbacks and Alvarez would take the 40 year old into the second half of the fight before stepping on the gas too heavily whereas Jack is probably gonna come hard straight away when Stevenson is most fresh/fast/powerful.

                  1. Stevenson only fights Showtime "house" fighters and not ones half as good as Kovalev

                  2. Bivol would be a bigger challenge for Kovalev than Stevenson would. Bivol is better than Stevenson. If Bivol fought Stevenson, it would look a lot like Loma-Tank would look if Tank wasn't ducking Loma the same way Stevenson is ducking Kovalev and Bivol. They would get outboxed very badly. Stevenson would have a puncher's chance that's it, Tank would barely have even that. Never say never, because everyone has a puncher's chance in boxing especially if you have power, but my point is Stevenson has a real puncher's chance because one punch could really hurt Bivol, while with Tank, one punch could hurt Loma if it was absolutely a 100% perfect connection, but otherwise I think Loma can take most of Tank's best shots, barring the 100% perfect one.

But if we're ranking the fighters, it's 1. Loma 2. Bivol 3. Kovalev 4. Tank and Stevenson tied. Bivol is way better than Stevenson so stop crying like Kovalev isn't calling out the best, he is, UNLIKE Stevenson fighting a super middleweight who had lots of competitive fights even in a weak division, proving he's not elite. Elite fighters don't lose rounds to past prime Degale, past prime Bute, Anthony Dirrell, etc. Jack also showed his power is not legit when he went 12 with Groves who got knocked out by slow Froch who himself was a very good but not elite puncher.

Alvarez then Bivol, proof Sergey always willing to fight the best, what a champion. Adonis could take a chapter out of Sergey's book.
