Yeah he lost to Salido and people do try and pretend that didn't happen but let's put it in context, it was his 2nd pro fight and he's fighting a big, strong, experienced rough world champion, probably the worst style you could ask for at that stage of your career. And Salido whilst passed his best was still a really good underrated champion and extremely rough and crafty so a guy with 1 pro fight.

Add to that, the fight was razor close and could have gone either way.

So there's no shame in losing that fight.

And Lomachenko has come on leaps and bounds since then. He is a seasoned pro now and a totally different fighter.
Add to that Salido didn't dare making weight, and should have been deducted one point at least for low blows (and all the fouls in the book) wich woulda given the fight to Loma, horrendous ref that night.

No true boxing fans were happy that night, Salido went full MMA like Horn on Manny, that's just cheating IMO.

Salido is a complete cheater, he broke Mickey nose with an head butt, got caught for Steroids use when he fought Rob Guerreo, has been deducted points for low blow many times (Martinez fight for example).

He's one of the biggest cheat of the last decades just behind Margo.

Garcia has the Ws over Broner and *undefeated* Lipinets @ 140lbs. Plus the W over Salido - the guy who *beat* Lomachenko. It should be noted that Broner was *undefeated* @ 140lbs..

Crawford was Lineal @ 135, Lineal and Undisputed @ 140 with wins over *undefeated* Gamboa, Postol and Indongo.

I'm sorry gentlemen but those accolades trump anything Lomachenko has managed to do in his career. Can he top what Garcia and Crawford has done so far? Sure. Will he is the question...

Orlando Salido stripped of world title.

Before the weigh-in even began his team members were telling people that he was unlikely to make weight. The three-time featherweight titlist from Mexico was 128¼ pounds, well over the 126-pound limit for what was supposed to be his first title defense against Vasyl Lomachenko (1-0, 1 KO), the two-time Olympic gold medalist from Ukraine going for a world title in his second professional fight.

Salido (40-12-2, 28 KOs) was resigned to the fact that he wasn't going to make 126 and did not attempt to lose any more weight, instead putting his pants back on, posing for pictures with Lomachenko and leaving the stage quietly.

The fight will go on with Lomachenko eligible to win the vacant belt. If Salido wins the fight the title will remain vacant. Salido also agreed to pay Lomachenko $15,000 from his $250,000 purse, which will increase Lomachenko's payout to $215,000, according to Top Rank.

"He couldn't make the weight," Top Rank promoter Bob Arum said. "When they get older (Salido is 33), taking the last few pounds off is sometimes impossible. He really tried. He's not a screw-up. They brought a doctor in (earlier Friday) and the doctor said if they forced him below 128 pounds there could be serious repercussions and dehydration. So he pays the fine, gives up the title and will make the best fight he can."

Sean Gibbons, Salido's manager, voiced concern about Salido's ability to make weight at Thursday's final news conference. On Friday, he was disappointed.

"He didn't have problems making weight for the fight with Orlando Cruz," Gibbons said of the fight in October when Salido won the vacant belt.

"But I got a little worried a couple of days ago when Orlando started talking about this being his last fight at 126. He got to 129 and had that gaunt look like he's gonna pass out, and he just couldn't do it."

Just in case you forgot what happened when they fought

            Deal with that too.

            LOL..
Lol, oh I see, this is the same guy who almost lost to Paulie, had a draw with Vargas, got his face all broken up by Maidana, and won how many rds vs Porter? Oh... and most think he lost to DeLeon too.

It's awesome that GAYdrian Boner is THE best name on Mikey's resume.

Broner got a gift against a carefully handpicked, blown up featherweight.

So did Lomachenko **** your mom, gf, or wife? Cause that’s the only logical explanation I can think of for the hate you seem to have for Loma.

People like that shouldn't even be allowed to think let alone talk Boxing.

The internet is a great tool but is wasted on tools like that racist.
