loma is great no question...but hes going to be a victim, at least on boxing boards, of prior behavior and always asked to do more or take a big risk/challenge

people act as if this standard wasn't already applied to great fighters years ago
We are all aware that some boxers were asked to jump through loops. Not every boxer though.

They all had to beat someone who was already the real deal in order to get their status.

If mikey is considered the real deal already, what "real deal" boxer did he have to move up in weight for and beat in order to get that status?

And to be honest. I don't think Ward jumped through hoops going to 75. He simply couldnt make 68 anymore. Besides, he was already the real deal.

Floyd cemented his "real deal" status a looooong time ago as well.

well, you might be sensible....but to a lot of the people around here neither ward nor Floyd did cement their statuses

and ward could have made 168...that's why he approached k2 about a fight at 168 ...and weighed in at 171 for the paul smith fight which was a LHW fight which smith was allowed to weigh in at 176

ward was keeping his weight in between classes in case golovkin was willing to fight...ward was willing to make 168 for a big fight

even when ward did go up his detractors said he would avoid kovalev or back out of the fight with a made up injury or whatever

So basically, Mikey gets a win over Salido who had 10 losses already (though it was stopped early he woulda won anyway, i think he dropped him 4 times) - and they both were featherweights already for years and years.

While Loma HAS to face a bigger, undefeated fighter who owned a belt at light welter.

I wany the fight. It's very intriguing. It's a huge fight. I just dont see the same consistency. Especially for those claiming Salido was this tough SIGNATURE win for Garcia.

when you say deny loma are they saying hes not good? or is denying loma when they say they think tank or another fighter would beat him? i don't think many are saying loma isn't a good fighter. but its like if anyone mentions a flaw or says they think mikey or tank will beat him then you all call them haters.

Everyone already forgot that Mikey was going to lose that fight to Salido because of a broken nose despite the fact he had won the previous rounds. His team cried so hard they had to stop the fight

Kinda like they forget that the Salido vs Loma fight ended in a SD with Loma rocking Salido in the 12th while finding his groove in the back 6.

                      Right?

But all you stat superheroes think looking at stats means you watched the fight.

Kinda like how Floyd pulled out a SD against canelo despite the fact he won 11/12 rounds.

No. Canelo MUST have almost ourboxed Floyd because of SD.
