Comments Thread For: Hearn: Joshua-Wilder Talks Ongoing, I Think it Will Be Next

Do you really think Hearn is the only one putting forth an effort to get this fight made? It seems to me that when Wilder's team was talking to the media about the fight on every opportunity there was this "stop talking to the media and work on making the fight vibe" from folks such as yourself. Now that the only person speaking to the media is Hearn, the viewpoint has changed. Now its, thank you for the updates Eddie, you're making all the efforts. Both sides are working my friend. Are you kidding? Hearn is the one who has reached out to Wilder's team trying to get it made and Hearn is the one who is currently negotiating a step-aside deal with Povetkin.
If it doesn't happen, after all the real efforts Hearn has made, compared to a couple of bullshit "Fiddy million .. take it or leave it" tweets from Wilder, I know who most non-biased will blame - and it won't be Hearn.
Also, let me know when a promoter can negotiate a step aside deal for some other promoter's fighter. Seems to me mentioning Hearn working on a step aside with Povetkin is water under the bridge since he's the only one who can do it.Comment

Hmm which one will be more of a bad look ? If AJ doesn’t accept the money he requested or Canelo refusing to enter the drug testing pool after Oscar said 2 weeks ago that Canelo would enter.Comment

Watch AJ destroy the Alabama twig. And break that country bumpkin clown in half and AJ will be undisputed champion of heavyweight divisionComment

The lead up was regarding a statement Hearn had previously made about talks that Hearn had. The interviewer asked him about who it was that he'd talked to. The question never really got answered but in the midst of the conversation string Hearn says:
"We're talking to Al Haymon at the moment".
Now tell me, how on earth do you derive such a statement to mean Winkel has been cut out of the talks WITHOUT making an assumption?
Face value, Hearn and Haymon and talking and exchanging information. Which is what Hearn said.Comment

Povetkin is AJ's IBF mando. Hearn is negotiating a step aside deal with him so the fight with Wilder can happen first, if it gets made.Do you really think Hearn is the only one putting forth an effort to get this fight made? I'm with you on that, makes not sense to go that far. I liken it to those folks that continue to say that Team Wilder made an offer and then refused to talk. Its like, let it go Louie, even Hearn is acknowledging communications. I'm beginning to think that folks are hoping the fight doesn't happen and are preparing their blame the other side argument today.I could understand if the fight didn't happen that people would throw a lot of accusations around as to where the blame is; but people lose their **** whenever there's even a minor hitch in negotiations.
On the other hand when it is reported that things are actually moving forward you see things like:
"this is obviously bull****, Hearn/Wilder/Joshua doesn't really want"
based on next to no evidence whatsoever. It's ****ing ridiculousComment

I know that $50 million dollar offer is real, and now that the grown ups took over, we might have a fight! I bet that $12.5 offer is gone! What kins of azzhole thinks he can make the biggest fight in world boxing by telling an A side champion,, "$50million. No talks. No negotiations. You have 24 hours. Take it or leave it"
You have no idea what's going between Hearn and Haymon.
But hey .. you're a fanboy. Fanboys don't need to know what's going on. Fanboys base their opinions on blind loyalty, not facts.Comment

Your last paragraph says it all. The real question is, how do you extrapolate that to include Finkel? Why wouldn’t he say Wilder’s team, or Haymon and Finkel? He didn’t. End of story. The lead up was regarding a statement Hearn had previously made about talks that Hearn had. The interviewer asked him about who it was that he'd talked to. The question never really got answered but in the midst of the conversation string Hearn says:

I'm fully aware of that. I was simply noting that using that fact as part of "support" for a "Hearn's doing all the work for the fight" argument is useless given that it's his sole responsibility to do so if he intends to have Joshua fight Wilder next.
It is a good sign that he's working on that part of the process of getting us Wilder Joshua next.Comment
