Excuses for what? How can you make excuses for someone who won the fight (by stoppage I may add) and won pretty much every round, bar 3? You MIGHT have a point if Lomachenko lost and claimed it was because of an injury. That might be an excuse for his defeat. But Lomachenko won and he did it CLEARLY against the number 1 fighter in the 135 division in his first fight there.

Lomachenko with a win has nothing to make excuses for!

This one is from another telecast but has a commercial but still you could see on the rear Loma trying to get his fathers attention.

Even on the ESPN broadcast, When they showed after the 5th round you can see them holding an Ice Pack on his right shoulder. He did something to it. I don't think anything too serious as he seemed to have full use of it in the fight. He was shaking that arm from time to time.

Loma would forcefully yank his arms out whenever Linares grabbed them, did it more than once, probably tore a ligament.

thats just how loma breaks holds. He pulls his arms aggressively. Did it against Rigo too. basically it's a way to kind of "over embellish" a bit on the break to draw the refs attention to his competitor making an illegal clinch.

Just to pour salt on your wound, I got Loma taking Mikey. All day. Wont be easy but it will happen.

Loma is moving through the sport so fast, hes bound to make some mistakes. No ones done what this man is doing. Holds the record for fastest 2 division world champion, and 3 division world champion, tied for the fastest world champion on his 3rd fight. People are talking about "oh he got knocked down so he IS human" ...no ones done what hes doing. 3 division world champion in 12 fights???? The record was held by Golden Boy at nearly double the fights. He just needs to be more careful. He got a little too confident and comfortable, i saw it coming.

He didn't look as great as we have seen him, partly due to the shoulder but also due to this being his hardest fight. But keeping that in mind, lets not forget how fast hes moving up in weight and fighting top fighters. Its not just that Linares was a top contender, its the difficult positions hes putting himself in. Show me someone with a better resume this early in their career. NO ONE would dare make the moves hes making in his career. Of course hes not going to look as amazing as we expect when he puts himself in such difficult situations. The haters are severely underestimating what hes doing and how difficult it is.

The whole boxing world is *****ing and crying about how fighters cherry pick and choose their fighters too much these days and they should take more risks. And here we have someone taking risks NO MAN has ever dared to take in their career and instead of appreciating and being thankful, these jackasses find a way to hate on the dude lol.
