Yet Loma was on his way to winning round ten which would have put him ahead on two scorecards and tied an another. He likely would have dropped him a second time in the tenth so that would put him ahead on all three cards. Doubtful he would lose the last two rounds.

You can try and tarnish the win and his growing legacy all you want, but Loma is here to stay and I don't see anyone beating him at 135. Mikey will have to drain himself from his 165+ walking around weight to make 135 and his feet will look like they are stuck in cement against Loma. That giant head of his will be a perfect target.

Tank davis wouldnt last till the tenth. Mikey Garcia would be a great fight but i still give it to loma given that it takes place at 135. I don’t believe linares outlanded him in this department plus it doesn’t matter if you do that and end up getting teed off ok because you gassed yourself out!

Linares fought well I liked the way he threw punches and I say he would beat the sh it out of mikey Garcia before maybe he got stopped on cuts. Loma cut Linares swelled his face up and KO'd him with one punch and Linares was 20LB bigger

Loma fanboys really need to stop being so defensive and understand that this scrutiny comes with the level of hype surrounding him. We all know that he won but that doesn’t negate the questions raised by how tough the fight was for him when he came in as such a heavy favorite.

What would’ve happened had linares not gassed out? It’s a legit question. He was more than just in the fight, he was arguably winning. He actually showed signs of gassing before he scored the KD.

Well the odds being what they were pre-fight, were wrong imo. I knew this would be a tough fight for him, as did Beercules and others. No doubt, Linares brought a lot into the ring that Loma hadn't dealt with and it showed. This wouldn't be another Walters or Sosa. This would be a true test because of size and power and skill. Now, Loma won, as I thought he would but it wasn't easy either. He got pushed hard for sure. Hats off to Linares.

And well, had he not gassed? He was gassed for a reason man. It's a big part of Loma's game to wear the opponent out mentally and physically, changing angles all the time. It worked. What if it hadn't? Personally i had Loma ahead 87-84. Given the kd, I would have had it 97-92 and unless he scored another kd, he'd be a loser on points. Now the judges had it much closer but with the tenth-round kd, Loma had the edge and most likely would keep it. But as far as gassing is concerned, you can say that about lots of fights-always with the same conclusion. They did gas and they lost. We'll never know, man.

For this fight, Loma moved up in weight to take on the number 1-2 man in the division in his first fight there. That alone shows a tremendous amount of courage and willingness to push for greatness on Loma's part. I haven't seen that happen very often. Yes, guys do move up but usually take an easier fight first which is smarter and less risky. This was a highly risky fight for Loma without question. When a fighter shows this kind of guts and willingness to test himself, it's impressive. Brook fighting GGG was impressive. Khan fighting Canelo was impressive. Floyd fighting Canelo was impressive. Pac fighting Margarito was impressive.

As far the scores, we can dispute that all day long. Lots of people had different scores just like they do in every close fight. It usually ends in a circle jerk.

As far as stamina goes, lots of guys have stamina issues and never really get over that. Maybe they should but it's not so easy for everybody. Every fighter is vulnerable in one way or the other. Loma has a way of wearing these guys out mentally from having so many angles thrown at them. It's overwhelming and he doesn't stop. So if stamina is an issue, he will exploit it, much the same way Ward exploited it against Kovalev. The right strategy and pressure will wear a guy out in many cases.
