There is only one reason Alvarez would do this. He wants to continue to cheat for as long as he can before his rematch with GGG. Using PEDs obviously benefits him greatly or he wouldn't jeopardize his reputation and career in this way.

He should also have relinquished the WBC title immediately if he thought he wasn't big enough to defend it, like SRL did after he won the SMW title from Lalonde.
SRL got nothing but respect for doing that, and the fans would have respected Canelo too, if he'd been equally honest with us.
Since then doe, everything he has done has only served to change him from "the new face of boxing" to "the face of everything bad about boxing"
Maybe he is naive and badly advised. But Oscar, Gomez, Reynoso, etc, don't have that excuse.Comment

You make absolutely no sense. WTF proves he is not dirty? Well why you try and find valid proof, lets break down what we do know.
1st Canelo failed 2 drug test for Clenbutoral.
2nd NSAC found the evidence to be credible and suspended one of the faces of boxing. He pulled out of the hearing before he had his day in court.
3rd He did not enroll in any type of random drug testing immediately after testing positive.
4th He bypassed the very public request of the WBC to enroll into the VADA testing program.
5th Austin Trouts accounts of the fishyness of ducking testing before their fight.
This guy has been dirty and nothing says dirty like a bunch of facts and smoke.Comment

WBC and Canelo have had a long running love/hate relationship. The scales have just tilted in the wrong direction with Canelo's refusal to enter a testing program. Not a good look for a guy who was just suspended for testing positive. While he certainly can make himself an easy $40M+ fighting BJS and likely winning his title, it will be an uphill climb from there. I don't he really wants to fight Jacobs, Charlo and Munguia and put himself at a size disadvantage with full testing. I've said it before, I think Canelo will retire young. Not too many low-risk/high-reward fights left in the division. I can see him hanging up the gloves at around age 30-32.Comment
